(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Huaifu, 68, is a retiree of the Weicheng Grain Supply Center in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. He was arrested last month and brutally tortured during his detention.
This was his fifth arrest in the past decade, only three months after his last release. After his third arrest in June of 2011, he was imprisoned for three years and tortured.
Mr. Wang recounts his ordeal:
Seven police officers broke into my home on June 25. They ransacked it and arrested me. The officers were from the Chengnan Police Department, the Songya Police Station, and the Tangxun Polcie Station. Chen Wei, Sun Yuran and Li Sitai were two of them.
I was taken to the Mianyang City Detention Center that day and detained for 15 days.
My family tried to find out where I was, but the police refused to tell them. They had to visit a couple of detention places before finally locating me.
The day after I arrived at the detention center, guard Liu Bo took me to his office for the check-in process. I told him about Falun Gong. Cai Fan, another guard in the office, began to curse the founder of Falun Gong after I began to speak. When I tried to stop him, he pushed me down.
He handcuffed my left hand behind my back and tightened the cuffs as far as they would go. It was excrutiating. Then he did the same to my right hand. I was in so much pain that I was unable to get up. He grabbed my arms and pushed my back with his knee to get me up. I heard my spine crack and felt a sharp pain. I had to stay in a half-squatting, half-kneeling position.
After they took the handcuffs off ten minutes later, my hands were swollen like loaves of bread. I had to hold onto things to move around and had a hard time taking care of myself.
I decided to report this incident to the director of the detention center on July 3. But the guards on duty--Zhang Yongwu, Liu Bo and Cai Fan--kept me from meeting him.
On the 14th day, I was in severe pain again. I was unable to relieve myself at night. My abdomen was bulging by morning. It was so painful that I asked the guards on-duty for help several times. Two guards took me to a hospital at around 6:30 a.m. The doctor had to use a urinary catheter to relieve me.
The police brought my wife to the hospital to pay the treatment fee. Then I was released the same day, July 10.
I went home with the catheter. My hands and arms still hurt. I am still having difficulties moving around and taking care of myself.
