(Minghui.org) Mr. Peng Kejing from Bazhong County, Sichuan Province recently filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong, which resulted in his daughter's false imprisonment.
Mr. Peng's daughter was formerly paralyzed, and regained mobility shortly after her practice of Falun Gong. She, however, was arrested when she told people the story about how Falun Gong returned her to health. She is now serving three years for refusing to give up her beliefs.
The 84-year-old man received confirmation from the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate on June 16, 2015, that the criminal complaint he submitted against the former Chinese dictator has been received.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Peng was a deputy Party secretary from Bazhong County Discipline Inspection Commission in Sichuan Province. He accused Jiang Zemin of abusing state power and creating an illegal agency (the 610 Office) in order to persecute his daughter and other Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years.
He recounts the suffering his daughter and the rest of his family went through in his complaint.
Ms. Peng Huaying was in charge of the accounting department at the Bazhong County Bureau of Statistics, and her job called for frequent over-time work. She developed severe neck and back problems in 2002 after 30 years' working the high-stressful job. She became totally paralyzed two years later and had to remain bedridden all day long. In summer 2008, she started reading the book Zhuan Falun and miraculously recovered a month later. She was able to sit up and get out of bed. Before she knew it, she could even ride her bicycle to go to work.
At the time, Ms. Peng was a section chief at the statistics bureau, so word spread quickly about her recovery. However, in February 2010, she was arrested for telling people that she got better through practicing Falun Gong.
The police ransacked her home and confiscated 20,000 yuan in cash. She was given one and a half years of forced labor, but was ordered to serve time at an unknown facility outside of the camp.
The police also demanded that her company demote her and reduce her wages. In the end, she was expelled from the company, and her pension payments were also cut.
Ms. Peng was arrested again in May 2012 for giving her friend some Falun Gong informational materials.
The judge from Bazhou District Court charged her with 'utilizing a cult organization to undermine law enforcement' and sentenced her to three years of detention with four years of probation (meaning there would be no prison if the convicted passes the probationary period).
Her mother died during her detention.
In September 2014, Ms. Peng submitted accounts to the “Discipline Inspection Group” to report Judge Pu Shenyuan from the Bazhou Court and the District Political and Legal Affairs Committee for bending the laws for their personal gain.
Judge Pu revoked Ms. Peng's probation a few hours later and ordered her to be sent immediately to the Longquanyi Women's Prison.
In the complaint, Mr. Peng stated that Falun Gong gave her daughter mobility and a new life.
“Falun Gong relieved our financial and mental burdens of looking after our daughter,” wrote Mr. Peng. “No words can express my gratitude to Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong. Falun Gong also made our daughter do things according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and become a better person.”
“However, Jiang Zemin overrode the law, using lies and deceit to initiate the persecution of Falun Gong. Jiang abused his power to set up 610 Offices all over the country for the express purpose of carrying out his policy of 'defaming their reputations, bankrupting them financially, and destroying them physically.' The suppression of Falun Gong is destroying people's basic morality, kindness and civilization,” continued Mr. Peng.
Mr. Peng also stated that according to Articles 35 and 36 of the Chinese Constitution, Chinese citizens have rights to freedom of religion and speech. No individual or state organ can interfere with his daughter's freedom of belief. It is Jiang Zemin who has violated the constitution and undermined law enforcement.
Finally, Mr. Peng Kejing asked the Supreme Procuratorate to bring Jiang Zemin to justice, restore the reputation of Falun Gong and immediately release all incarcerated Falun Gong practitioners.
