July 24, 2015 |

(Minghui.org) Over 80,000 people had filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin by July 16, 2015. In some cities, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents responded by arresting and harassing practitioners.

The following includes recent reports from a few cities in China.

Six practitioners were arrested from Tongan City in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The Yilan police harassed practitioners at their homes and workplaces, and they also arrested two practitioners. Over 30 practitioners from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, were arrested for their involvement in filing the complaints.

[Suzhou, Jiangsu Province] 6 Practitioners Arrested

Five practitioners in Tongan City filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin to the Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court in Beijing. Their criminal complaints were sent through express mail on July 4, 2015.

Rather than delivering the mail, however, the post office staff withheld the mail and notified the police.

The five practitioners include Ms. Fang Fengzhen, Ms. Chang Zheng, Mr. Chen Linfa, Mr. Du Yongwei, and Mr. Gu Xiaoming. This group of five and an unknown female practitioner went to the post office to check why their complaints were held on July 9, 2015. The staff called the police, and about a dozen police officers came and took them to the Huguan Police Station in Suzhou City.

Mr. Chen, Mr. Du, and the female practitioner were released that evening. Ms. Fang and Ms. Chang were taken to the Xinqu Police Station and deprived of sleep. Mr. Gu was interrogated by the police at the Huguan Police Station.

While they were in police custody, the police ransacked the homes of Ms. Fang, Mr. Gu, and Ms. Chang. They seized a few dozen Shen Yun DVDs and a cell phone from Ms. Fangs' home. They also seized a computer, a printer, and many cell phones from Ms. Chang's home.

[Yilan, Heilongjiang Province] Police Ransack Practitioners' Homes

About 10 practitioners in Heilongjiang Province sent their complaints to sue Jiang Zemin around July 1, 2015. They had not received confirmations, so they called the post office. They were told that the Yilan County 610 Office had intercepted the letters.

Officers from the Yilan 610 Office went to Mr. Li Xingui's home and harassed him on July 9, 2015.

Police from the Yilan County Domestic Security Division and the Sandaogang Police Station ransacked the homes of Ms. Wei Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Shurong on July 10, 2015. The police also went to Ms. Zuo Xianfeng's workplace to harass her.

Sisters Zhao Shuxiang and Zhao Shuyan were arrested and taken to the Yilan Domestic Security Division. They are set to be detained for 15 days.

Ms. Ding Xueping, Ms. Liu Wenxiu, and Mr. Liu Wenbo were also arrested on July 10, 2015. Ms. Liu was released around noon, and Ms. Ding continuously clarified the facts to police at the police department. She was released later because her husband had passed away recently and her 11-year-old child was left at home alone. Mr. Liu's whereabouts is unknown.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Communist regime established an extralegal security organization, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
