(Minghui.org) Many Falun Gong practitioners in Anqing City, Anhui Province, are filing criminal complaints against former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong.
The complaints are mailed to the Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court in China. Many people in Anqing have offered their support.
About a dozen older practitioners went to the area's four post-offices to mail their complaints. The staff were happy to help mail the forms out.
“I want to mail a complaint against Jiang Zemin,” said the practitioners. “I cannot write. Can you help fill it out for me?” The staff helped without any problems.
“I am too old and cannot write well.” said other practitioners. “Can you please help? My health is so poor as a result of being persecuted.” They then told all that happened to them and the persecution they experienced. The staff were sympathetic and helped these practitioners go through the mailing process quickly.
Some practitioners mailed their complaints via a private express company. They learned later that the Supreme Procuratorate does not accept mail delivered via private express companies. So they went to the express company to inquire about it. When they expressed that they would mail their complaints again through the federal postal office, a mail clerk encouraged them.“Hurry up,” he said. “The more complaints you file, the better.”
Some staff patiently helped practitioners fill out forms and explained the schedules and processes of properly posting their complaints. Practitioners learned that all their complaints were delivered by the Anqing Post Office to the Beijing Post Office, and that all the acknowledgments they would receive on their cell phones were sent by the Beijing Post Office.
Two practitioners started a signature drive in Anqing in support of suing Jiang. Fifty-seven people expressed their support and signed the petition within a week.
One business owner understood the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. He signed and also made sure his employees knew about the drive. Thirty-two workers signed the signature drive.
Practitioners put up posters all over Anqing City to let the citizens know that a lot of practitioners who were persecuted are now suing Jiang. Some people immediately started reading the posters when they were put up.
Practitioners took the opportunity to help them understand Falun Gong and to assist them in quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
