(Minghui.org) My husband is a really big fan of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He sometimes carries it around all day when he is at home. He reads it sitting or lying down--he even reads it before going to sleep at night.

I asked him how many times he has read the book. He held up both hands to suggest more than a dozen times!

The Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party editorial in November 2004. It quickly spread throughout the world. Now it has been translated into 33 languages and distributed around the globe.

However, it is still banned in China. At the time of its publication, the editorial stunned my husband, who was then a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and employed at a local tax authority.

He is also enthusiastic about the DVD version. He often watches it when he comes home from work. The historical photographs, scenes, and remarkable comments on the video footage fascinate him. The first time he saw it, he kept shaking his head, saying, “The DVD version is better. It conveys the true nature of CCP to the audience so vividly. It's wonderful.”

One day he said to me: “I want to quit the Communist Party. I want to use the name 'Liu Qingbai,' so that I leave behind an honorable legacy.” (Note: Liu is also the Chinese spelling for the character 留—meaning leave behind; Qingbai is the Chinese spelling for the characters 清白—meaning righteous, pure and clean.)

I asked him if he came to this understanding by reading the book. “Every time I read it, some of the CCP’s poison that has accumulated in my body gets cleared out,” he said. “And some of those dark, bad things get expelled. My body feels clean and comfortable. It's like it is detoxifying me as I read it. I think that the Nine Commentaries is not an ordinary book; in fact, it is a book with miraculous power!”
