(Minghui.org) When working with lawyers, I found that many of them are still fearful of the Chinese communist regime. They remain pessimistic about or disagree with the lawsuits being filed against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese leader who is responsible for the suppression of Falun Gong.

Upon thinking it over, I realized the importance of thoroughly telling these lawyers the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution.

In Essentials for Further Advancement, Master wrote,

“Anyone who comes to study the Fa—no matter how learned he is, how big his business, how high his rank, what special skills he has, or what supernormal abilities he possesses—must actually practice cultivation.” (“Abandon Human Attachments and Continue True Cultivation”)

Because lawyers are professionals with specialized skills some practitioners depend on them or admire them.

This mentality comes from human notions, and could undermine our efforts to save sentient beings, including these lawyers. Master has told us that Dafa disciples should play the leading role in ending this persecution and saving people. We should be clear on our mission.

When we first began telling the attorneys about the lawsuits against Jiang, very few paid attention. It was not until more than 4,000 lawsuits were initiated that some of them began paying attention. This presents us with a challenge. How can we encourage more lawyers to get involved, so they position themselves well on this important matter? We need to tell them what is going on, in depth, and on a large scale. As more people learn about the severity of the persecution and its consequences, more attorneys and people from other walks of life can be saved.

Faced with the increasing number of these lawsuits being submitted to the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate, some lawyers are perplexed or may feel pressured, even though they have not participated in it. This reminds us to think deeper. As disciples, do we understand why we should sue Jiang? Do we know that the reason for doing this is to save people? Are our thoughts completely focused on this?

Master is compassionate, and the lawsuits against Jiang provide us with another opportunity, both to save people and improve ourselves. We should cherish this opportunity and do it well.
