(Minghui.org) Allegations of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China and the forcible removal of organs without consent first hit the airwaves in 2006. The thought of such an atrocity is no longer a hidden secret.
“Four years ago, my neighbor, a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested by officers from the National Security Bureau and has been missing since,” said Ms. Sun Baoqiang, a writer from Shanghai. “I am afraid he was a victim of organ harvesting.”
Ms. Sheng Xue, another Chinese writer said, “When I first heard of organ harvesting, I surfed China's Health Department website and found indirect evidence about this atrocity. I now believe that is true.”
“Based on mounting evidence, our investigating group has proven that since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution against Falun Gong in 1999, the number of organ surgeries has increased dramatically and reached rather frightening numbers ” said Mr. Pan Qing, a member of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong.
Since Human Harvest—a documentary film about the Chinese regime's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners—was aired on Dateline, SBS TV, Australia, these three aforementioned Chinese writers spoke openly about the atrocity committed by the CCP. They based their viewpoints on their personal experiences and said that organ harvesting atrocities in China will only be stopped when the CCP is eliminated.
“There is sufficient evidence about organ harvesting from living people,” Ms. Sheng said. “Should any government, any parliament, or any legislative office remain silent about this atrocity, they will be named and criticized in future historical records.”
“Such an immense crime is definitely happening,” she continued. “It is a challenge to the conscience of society. For this kind of crime, even if one does not believe it at first, one must take a stand. Everyone must investigate to see if this is true—not just the Chinese people.”
When Ms. Sheng first heard of such allegations, she researched through China's Department of Health website and found indirect evidence.
She reported, “Before 1999, for example, the number of organ transplants was around 2,000, while in the year 2000, it more than tripled. Where did the hospitals suddenly get so many organs? These are not vegetables or fruits, readily available in a market, but organs from human bodies. The assumption arises that these organs must come from a given group of people. This strengthened my belief in the reality, the atrociousness, of forced organ harvesting.”
When looking over the process of how organ harvesting was exposed, she found it pitiful that the international society has not addressed it.
In fact, many countries keep quiet because they fear the CCP. In her opinion, China needs the world. Conversely, many countries are frightened and keep silent because they mistakenly think that they need the Chinese market. Ms. Sheng believes that this fear is irrational.
Once they get to understand the nature of the CCP, they will no longer fear it, she affirmed.
Mr. Pan Qing, a member of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, whose members include doctors, human rights attorneys, and investigators from around the world, said, “When forced organ harvesting from living people was exposed between 2006 and 2007, there was mounting evidence, provided by professionals and some CCP agents, that such organ harvesting was increasing dramatically. In fact, the numbers increased significantly with the onset of the persecution of Falun Gong.
“Organ harvesting from unwilling living donors results in one person increasing their life span, while the life of another is extinguished,” he added. “Killing is a violation of the most basic human right, and this form of killing is an unprecedented evil. It will without doubt be fully exposed.
“It all comes down to the CCP, which, since it came to power, has not cared for life and has killed an uncounted number of people. Basically, the CCP is inhuman and does not value life.
“In this way, the root cause of this crime is the CCP. Only when people quit the CCP, and help disintegrate it, will the crime of organ harvesting from living people end.”
Ms. Sun Baoqiang, a writer from Shanghai
“Many people who can break through the Chinese Internet firewall have read about organ harvesting from living individuals,” Ms. Sun Baoqiang said. “The problem is that fear of the CCP is still stopping anyone from speaking up.”
“The Dateline program on SBS TV recently aired the documentary Human Harvest. This means that Australians are waking up, and they no longer turn a blind eye to human rights simply because they do business with China,” she added.
Ms. Sun was a financial professional in a foreign trade company when she still lived in China. However, her writings brought her afoul of the communist regime. A property building manager told her that CCP agents demanded that she be monitored, so she encouraged him to read her articles. He soon became her friend.
He also told her that a particular Falun Gong practitioner was to be monitored. That practitioner was then arrested by agents from the National Security Bureau and has been missing since. The sad truth is that he was most likely killed and quite possibly a victim of organ harvesting. That manager then told her that she had better leave the country or she may also disappear.
“This came as a shock,” Ms. Sun said. “I never thought that something like this could happen in the 21st century. The saddest part is that the Chinese people seem to ignore the CCP's atrocities.
“Although I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, I support Falun Gong and also agree that the CCP will fall. Only when the CCP is eliminated, will there be hope for China, will there be hope for the world, and will there be peace in China. Then, there may be peace in the world.”
Ms. Sun told her brother, who is a secretary for the neighborhood administration office, “If you meet [Falun Gong] practitioners, don't arrest them. They are good people who follow the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
She added that her brother secretly released practitioners who were detained for distributing Falun Gong materials. “I believe those practitioners are brave, and they risk their lives to distribute fliers that tell the facts about the persecution and Falun Gong,” she said. “Once they are reported, they might be arrested, detained or even killed for their organs.”
Trade with China is the culprit for the silence, the veil under which the world refuses to address human rights. In Ms. Sun's opinion, the attitude of many countries is shortsighted if they only care for profit and not for human rights.
Ms. Sun firmly believes that history will condemn those who remain silent in the name of economic gain.
