(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 practitioners were illegally arrested.

The Qufu City Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Xie Yi and Ms. Huang Chunling each to five years in prison on the morning of May 12, 2015.

2. [Butuo County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Zhiqiang and His Wife Sentenced to Six Months

Mr. Yang Zhiqiang and his wife Ms. Li Xiuying, from Butuo County, Liangshan Prefecture, were each sentenced to six months in prison by the Xichang City Railway Transportation Court. The couple was arrested on January 17, 2015. Their arrests were approved on January 24.

The Rongcheng City Court put Mr. Zhang Baojin from Caiyuan Village on trial without notifying his family on the morning of May 11, 2015.

4. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Wang Haiyan and Ms. Gong Fang were arrested while distributing Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) informational materials. Mr. Fang Haifeng happened to pass by. When he went up to the police officers and told them facts about Falun Gong, he was also arrested.

The three practitioners were taken by local police to the Huanggekeng Detention Center in the Longgang District. They have been held there for over eight months. Their cases were transferred twice to the Procuratorate but were rejected both times for lack of evidence. Recently the cases were taken by the Procuratorate and then transferred to the court. The Longgang District Court is planning to put the three practitioners on trial on May 14, 2015.

5. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Beijing Domestic Security Division, the Miyun County Domestic Security Division, and the Jugezhuang Town Police Station arrested Cuijuan (female), Ms. Sun Shulan, Ms. Wang Chunzhi, Mr. Feng Xinrong, and Ms. Zhang Guiping on the morning of May 12, 2015.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuqin, about 70, Ms. Ma Aiwu, in her 60s, and Ms. Jia Yunzhen, in her 60s, from the Caofeidian District were arrested by officers from the Tanghai Town Police Station on the morning of May 12, 2015. They were transferred to the Caofeidian District Detention Center late that afternoon.

7. [Xunke County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Fu Limei Arrested

Ms. Fu Limei was arrested by plainclothes officers while telling people about Falun Gong on May 2, 2015. She is being held in Heihe City.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Yan Kezhong Arrested Again

About eight police officers broke into Mr. Yan Kezhong's home in Yanqing County at noon on May 11, 2015. They ransacked the place and confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Dafa books, and Falun Dafa informational materials. Mr. Yan and his family were all arrested. His family later returned home.

Mr. Yan, in his 40s, with a disabled arm, makes a living delivering goods on his tricycle. Between 2008 and 2010, he was twice sentenced to forced labor.

9. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shanming Detained

Mr. Zhang Shanming was arrested. He is being held in the Zhigou Police Station.

10. [Hejian City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Jingkun Arrested

Ms. Shi Jingkun from the No. 3 Property Company of Northern China Petroleum was arrested on the morning of April 30, 2015 while posting stickers with information about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She was taken to Baoding City, but was denied admission at the detention center. She was then taken to Renqiu City and held there.

11. [Qiu County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Pengxiu, Ms. Zhang Qiaoyun, and Ms. Chang Meie were arrested while they were telling people about Falun Gong by officers from the Qiucheng Town Police Station. They are being held in the police station.

12. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Hu Yuping Detained

Ms. Hu Yuping from Linquan County went to Xincai County, Henan Provence to tell people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Xincai County Domestic Security Division. After 15 days of detention she was transferred to the Linquan County Domestic Security Division around May 6, 2015. She is being held in the Fuyang City Detention Center.

13. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shumei Arrested

Ms. Liu Shumei was arrested by a group of people, led by Hu Shaoqun, head of the Anqiu City Brainwashing Center, on the morning of May 11, 2015. She is being held in the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Chunling Arrested

Ms. Liu Chunling was arrested on May 12, 2015. Her home was ransacked.

15. [Chongqing] Mr. Cao Xuejun Arrested

Mr. Cao Xuejun from the Tongliang District was arrested at home on the afternoon of May 11, 2015, by officers from the Tongliang Police Department. The officers also ransacked his home.

16. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Shanhui Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shanhui from Junle Town is missing after she went out to talk to people about Falun Gong. Later it was verified that she was arrested by officers from the Shengping Town Police Station. Her whereabouts is unknown.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Cui Cuiqiao Arrested

Ms. Cui Cuiqiao was arrested around April 25, 2015. Her whereabouts is unknown.

18. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Shuhua Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuhua, 66, from the Hongshan District, was arrested by officers from the Zhaowuda Police Station in Hongshan District while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the evening of May 11, 2015.

19. [Shanghai] Ms. Cao Yueling Arrested

Ms. Cao Yueling, 37, was arrested and taken to the Laoximen Police Station by officers from the Huangpu District Domestic Security Division on April 2, 2015. The officers ransacked her home. She was later transferred to the Huangpu District Detention Center. She was charged by the Huangpu District Domestic Security Division. Her arrest was approved by the Huangpu District Procuratorate.

20. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cheng Peixin Detained for 10 Days

Mr. Cheng Peixin was arrested when he was buying a ticket at the Jinzhou Railway Station by the railway station officers on April 24. The officers confiscated his cell phone, eBook, copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and MP5 player. The officers also went to his home and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer and personal items valued at about 10,000 yuan. He was released after 10 days of detention.

21. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Shilian Detained for Seven Days

Ms. Zhong Shilian was arrested and taken to the Fulai Police Station while telling people about Falun Gong on April 25, 2015. She was taken to the Yantai No. 2 Detention Center. She was released after seven days of detention.

22. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Hu Chunni Detained

Ms. Hu Chunni, 52, was arrested when she was telling people about Falun Gong in Hanji Township, Xincai County by Zhang Yi, director of the Hanji Township Police Station on April 21, 2015. She is being held in the Linquan County Detention Center.

23. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Quanhua Arrested

Ms. Wang Quanhua, from Xiashizikuang Village, Guocheng Town, was arrested by officers from the Facheng Police Station on the morning of May 5, 2015 when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, a printer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Wang was taken home by her son that afternoon.
