(Minghui.org) I have practiced Falun Dafa for 18 years and have never wavered for one moment despite the unprecedented persecution of the practice.
Police officers were trying to arrest a few practitioners from a materials production center in March 2008. They came to my home and wanted to hide so they could catch these practitioners.
I refused to cooperate with the police and I was arrested and held at a detention center. The officers asked me for my name and age.
I said: “My name or how old I am has nothing to do with you. But if you want to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates, I can help you.”
They replied: “You are truly amazing! This time we are arresting a barefoot fairy.” They called me that because I wore no shoes when I was arrested.”
I told them that I was not a criminal and therefore they had no control over me. I did not wear the prison clothes, did not obey their prison rules, have a photo taken, or eat any meals.
The head of the detention center and the political instructor said: “Please eat something. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great, but can you just keep it in your heart?”
Since I was not a criminal I did not accept the food prepared for criminals. They offered me a meal prepared for sick people. I told them that I practice Falun Dafa and am very healthy. I would not eat a meal for sick people.
I said, “The CCP persecutes good people. I was illegally detained and deprived of making my own meals at home. What they persecute are good people.”
I did the exercises and was warned by a fellow practitioner that they monitor us and if anyone does the exercises, they would be tortured. To make a point, I sat in front of the camera and did the exercises. No one could stop me.
A guard came, pointed at me and said: “She can do the exercises freely. She does whatever she wants to do. However, that doesn't apply to any of you.” I did not pay attention to the guard. I was released after one month.
On my return home, people from the judicial department, police department and the 610 Office came to my store with a video camera.
I said: “What's the matter? You can talk to me outside. Please do not enter my store, it will affect my business. Let me ask you: What did I do wrong? Why did you come here to harass me?” I asked my daughter to ask all my neighbors to come and join us and said “The more people, the better. In front of everyone, we can reason things out with them. Let everyone see who is doing an evil deed.”
I told them: “I suffered from several ailments but returned to good health as soon as I lived by the Falun Dafa principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. But you guys continue to harass me I'll let everyone know what you are doing to me here!”
They panicked and the cameraman took off immediately. They were in disarray and began to apologize: “I am sorry. I didn't do any harm to you. Are you fine?” I told them that I was fine and they all left.
A male practitioner from our local area was held at a prison in the Northeast of China. When his term was up, the 610 Office wanted to take him to a brainwashing center. When we found out, we began to send righteous thoughts in close proximity of the center.
My cousin was responsible for picking up this practitioner. Close to 400 practitioners surrounded him and blocked the 610 Office people to get close to him. Therefore, my cousin could escape with this practitioner. The practitioners shouted: “Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” This shocked the police. Someone said: “Look at practitioners. A person is released from the prison and so many people are there to take him home. Even the Chinese president does not get such treatment”
After we returned, the 610 Office asked my cousin to come to their office. As he was a new practitioner, he did not know how to react. He told me that he was scared and said that if they ask him, if he could put all the responsibility on me. I told him, “That's fine. Do whatever you see fit. I have no problem at all.” He calmed down.
As soon as he arrived at the police station, an officer from the 610 Office said: “You can mention anyone else, but not her name. None of us wants to hear her name, nor do we want to see her. She'd better not come. If she comes, she would turn this place upside down. Say whatever you want to say as long as you don't mention her!”
When my cousin told me about it I understood that I was protected because I practice Falun Dafa. Teacher said:

I kept the following thought in my mind at all times: “Let all evil factors immediately dissolve as soon as they touch me or approach me.”
A man who works for the government came to my store. He told me that his supervisor from the municipal government promoted him to a position in the 610 Office. This position also guaranteed other promotions.
I said: “I have helped your wife and son to quit the CCP and must do the same for you.” He said that he had not joined the CCP or any of its affiliates. I told him that he still had to listen to the facts about Falun Dafa.
Therefore, I talked about Falun Dafa in-depth. I also told him the principle of “doing good is rewarded and doing evil is punished.” I continued: “Be responsible to yourself. You cannot participate in the persecution. Instead, do good deeds and protect kind practitioners. By doing so, you'll greatly benefit.” He was so moved that he removed the CCP label from his coat.
He came to my store a little while later to tell me that he returned to his original government post. He did not want a position that might ask him to persecute practitioners.
