Police Officer's Chinese New Year Greeting: “Falun Dafa Is Good”

April 09, 2015 |   By a practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) One of my neighbors is a police officer. We have never spoken to each other in the past, but he approached my family and me on the first day of the Chinese New Year and said, “Falun Dafa is good!”

We were surprised and replied, “Good! Good! Good!” Everyone was happy and continued to set off fire crackers to welcome the new year.

I was happy to hear the officer greet us with “Falun Dafa is good” and considered it an auspicious sign for the new year.

I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999. Everyone in my neighborhood knew I was a practitioner, including the police officer who greeted us and the director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee.

After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, whenever I had visitors or was out of town, personnel from the 610 Office would harass my family and ask to see me. I would send forth righteous thoughts while my family tried to reason with them.

The director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee quit his job a few years later, and the police officer moved away. As for this police officer neighbor, whenever we met in the past, he avoided talking to me, and sometimes he purposely turned his head away. So I was really happy for him when he greeted us with “Falun Dafa is good” on the first day of the Chinese New Year.
