(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Qian, in her 40s, a former worker from the Guangzhou Book Center, has endured ongoing persecution because she is a Falun Gong practitioner. She was most recently arrested on February 3, 2015 at her home. The police did not show a search warrant. They also ransacked her home.
She was taken to the local police station, where she was subjected to a lengthy, abusive interrogation session. It has been learned that Ms. Huang has become ill in detention.
Ms. Huang was arrested for exposing her prior arrests and torture under her real name on the Internet.
Ms. Huang was given a physical examination at the police station and forced to pay the examination fee.
Ms. Huang was transferred to the Guangzhou Detention Center. Officer Peng (police ID 043369) forbade her from doing the Falun Gong exercises.
She reported fever, cramps, and aches from February 16 to 18 and went on a hunger strike to protest her illegal detention. Despite her physical condition, Ms. Huang was forced to perform labor at the detention center.
To detail her mistreatment, Ms. Huang wrote a letter to the detention center director on February 27. When he did not reply, she wrote a letter to the prosecutor assigned to the detention center, on March 17. She has not received a response from the prosecutor either.
Ms. Huang has been arrested six times over the course of the persecution of Falun Gong, with the last arrest being on September 23, 2007. After the 2007 arrest, Ms. Huang was sentenced to a four-year prison term, which she served at the Guangzhou Province Women’s Prison.
