(Minghui.org) I was surprised when the former Communist party village general secretary called me one day in 2014. He said he had an important matter to discuss with me.

The man was a former classmate. I had talked to him many times about the persecution of Falun Gong and urged him to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but he had never agreed. After he retired from his position, he moved to the city to live with his daughter.

“What important matter does he need to discuss with me?” I wondered.

He came to my house the next day. Before I even greeted him, he took my hands and said excitedly, “I remember you talked to me about quitting the Party. Today help me to quit the Party with my real name!”

He told me he had recently visited Hong Kong and Taiwan. During his travels he had learned the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong and read many flyers. He said he was deeply shocked by the evil nature of the CCP and also felt encouraged seeing other tourists openly quitting the party.

“I gave it a lot of thought after I came back,” he said. “What you told me before was all true. You were truly saying things for my well-being and wanted to save me. I felt afraid when I talked with you back then. Today, I am asking you to help me quit the Party with my real name.”

I was very happy that one more life was saved. Observing his change, I understood the great impact of the truth-clarification efforts in other countries. Thank you Falun Dafa practitioners who volunteer at tourist sites outside of China!
