Europe: Chinese Tourists Openly Condemn the Persecution of Falun Gong

February 16, 2015 |   By a practitioner in Europe

(Minghui.org) “Falun Gong's good reputation will be restored...sooner or later!” said a Chinese tourist in Europe one day to his fellow travelers from Northeast China. They had just stopped at a Falun Gong poster display and began discussing the issue.

Another tourist followed, “Falun Gong practitioners have suffered many injustices. Many died due to the persecution!”

“The persecution of Falun Gong is wrong. Jiang Zemin (former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)) is the main culprit. He initiated the persecution even though others did not agree,” responded another one.

“The Party does not dare to reverse the persecution because it fears losing power and nationwide unrest,” said another tourist.

“I would say any occurrences of turmoil in China is all because of the Party. Look at all the scandals in recent history. Investigations all point to the root cause: the CCP.”

Hearing their discussion, a volunteer at the display who was there helping Chinese tourists renounce the CCP was pleased and asked them, “Have you all quit the Party?” Some had already quit, but others seized the chance to declare their withdrawal.

Once a tourist in his 60s was waiting for others outside of a shop. A volunteer asked if he wanted some Falun Gong informational materials. He said, “I read your news frequently. Your reporting is true. I can confirm it.”

“Where do you get your information?” asked the volunteer.

“I am in the army and have access to a lot of inside information,” answered the man.

“You must be a general,” said the volunteer, after hearing his insights into China's current plight, including the reasons for the arrest of several high-level CCP officials, Jiang Zemin's crime of genocide, and the imminent collapse of the CCP.

“I am now retired and don't have any official post,” responded the man.

“It is to your credit that you know the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. But it is important for your future that you take an upright stance by renouncing the CCP. Let me help you to quit the Party with an alias. How about this?” asked the volunteer.

He was silent for a few seconds and answered after a long sigh, “All right. I'll quit it then.”

There are many Chinese tourists in Europe. Most who take the time to talk with volunteers end up deciding to quit the CCP. Condemning the Party's many crimes is a common topic for these tourists. Those who had misunderstandings about Falun Gong would often change their minds as soon as volunteers briefly explained the real story behind the persecution.
