My Understanding of Not Being Attached to the End of Fa-Rectification

Many great articles have been published on the Minghui website recently about not being attached to the end of Fa-rectification. I recall that around 2012-2013, I was strongly attached to the end of Fa-rectification, and even searched online for prophecies that validated my attachment. However, I now have a different understanding of this matter.

Master told us on numerous occasions that it is very difficult for sentient beings to cultivate in the Heavens, since life there is easy. True cultivation happens here on Earth. I've been clarifying the truth a lot to Native American people, and studying their traditional culture. I've learned that the ancient people took pride in trying to excel when encountering various harsh circumstances, to cultivate endurance. They had competitions to see who could walk the furthest away in blistering snow, or who could climb the highest mountain peaks. Young men engaged in these “endurance games” to prepare themselves for adult life, where they would meet head-on with various dangers found in war, hunting, or scouting. This was not done to show off or to prove something to others; they wanted to do it for themselves, to see that they were capable of enduring the hardest of hardships.

As disciples of Dafa, we should not fear any hardship. When we are attached to the end of Fa-rectification, it is like we don’t want to endure any more hardships. There will not be any more opportunities in the future, because cultivation is very difficult up there. This is our opportunity to cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance by experiencing difficult environments here on Earth, on top of saving sentient beings. That, too, is part of our cultivation.

We cultivate compassion and forbearance when saving lives, since we are enduring for others. Of course, we must deny the arrangements of the old forces that impose things on us that we should not be bearing. We follow only Master's arrangements. We will come out of it victorious in the end, because we will be able to fulfill our missions, and the promises we've made to the Lord Creator.

Let's validate “Let joy be found in hardship” (“Tempering the Will,” from Hong Yin), not shy away from the challenges of cultivation, and come out as strong and magnificent gods at the end of the journey!
