(Minghui.org) Fifteen-year-old You Qing has mailed criminal complaints against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Court, holding him responsible for the persecution she and her father endured as part of Jiang's campaign to suppress Falun Gong.
Her complaint letters were held by the post office. Domestic Security officers harassed her and her grandmother, and demanded to know who helped them prepare the complaints.
Ms. You is the daughter of Mr. You Haijun, a practitioner from Zhongning County in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Her mother divorced her father when she was less than one year old, leaving her with her grandmother and her father. The child was very weak and sickly. At the age of three, she came down with epilepsy. The father had the child examined by many doctors, who prescribed medication. However, she did not get better.
In 2004, the year she turned four, her father heard that people became healthier after practicing Falun Gong. Her father learned Falun Gong and taught her the exercises. She also studied Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong, daily. After only three days, her epilepsy symptoms went away and never came back since.
Ms. You's father was arrested and sentenced to prison in September 2013, when she was 13 years old.
On September 15, 2013, Ms. You saw someone moving things out of her home. She then saw her father and another practitioner, Mr. Ding Qian, in handcuffs. Her aunt and grandmother tried to stop the officers and asked why they arrested him.
After the two men were arrested, a Domestic Security police officer often came to her school to interrogate her. She did not respond, so the officer instructed two of her teachers to verbally abuse her, hit her face, and kick her.
One of the teachers beat the girl whenever she did not answer questions immediately or made a mistake. Once, she turned the child's face black and purple, leaving her unable to open her eyes. Her classmates also humiliated and isolated her. Finally, she could no longer take the abuse and dropped out of school.
