(Minghui.org) A pharmaceutical businessman was illegally arrested and detained for providing transport to one of his employees, who is also a practitioner.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Du Jinyong, in his 30s, was arrested on January 6, 2014, by officers from the Yunhe and the Cangzhou City Police Department.
The police also intended to take away his non-practitioner wife, but they decided against it when they saw the child was only a few years old.
Mr. Du is being held at the Cangzhou City Detention Center.
The police arrested Mr. Du because he provided a car for his employee, Mr. Hou Dongliang, who is also a practitioner.
Mr. Hou was one of 42 practitioners arrested on August 17, 2014, at a private gathering in Cangzhou. He was also one of the practitioners whose arrests were officially approved a month later. He is being held in the Cangzhou City Detention Center.
Their lawyers learned from the Procuratorate on January 7, 2015, that the practitioners' cases had been returned to the police department for lack of evidence. The police now have one month to come up with legitimate evidence.
