(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in six provinces. According to this report, three Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least six practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Jiang Guiying and Ms. Hua were recently taken to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center.

2. [Zhangshu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yu Yueping and Ms. Fu Xiaoyuan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yu Yueping, in her 60s, and Ms. Fu Xiaoyuan were arrested on May 13, 2014, for hanging a banner about the persecution. Both practitioners were tried on the morning of October 23, 2014, in the Zhangshu City Court. Ms. Yu was sentenced to five years in prison and Ms. Fu to four years.

3. [Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qiu Baoshan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Qiu Baoshan was arrested on December 22, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. He was taken to a brainwashing center.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Song Henghai Arrested

Mr. Song Henghai was arrested by officers from the Shanpan Police Station on July 9, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers ransacked his home.

5. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Liuzhen Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhao Liuzhen, nearly 70, was arrested on December 20, 2014. She is now in a brainwashing center.

6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiuyun Arrested

Ms. Li Xiuyun was arrested and taken to the Bianfang Police Station on the afternoon of December 28, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home.

7. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tan Degang in Critical Condition

Mr. Tan Degang, 42, used to work at the Arrcen Science and Technology Co., Ltd. He was sentenced to three-and-a half-years in prison in August 2012.

He developed liver cancer as a result of persecution. He was diagnosed in mid-November 2014, and his family applied for medical parole for him. It has now been over 35 days, and they are still waiting for a response from the authorities.

Mr. Tan is in critical condition.
