(Minghui.org) Ms. Liao Cui is a disabled woman living by herself. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities recently broke into her home, robbed her, and harassed her caregivers. Ms. Liao has been jailed twice because she practiced Falun Gong. She was released for medical treatment when doctors announced that she may only live for another two or three months. Although she survived, she was disabled for more than a year and relied on fellow Falun Gong practitioners to take care of her daily needs.
Director Cai and others from the Meixiqiao Neighborhood Committee in Yueyang City broke into Ms. Liao's home on the afternoon of August 13, 2014. They attempted to destroy a photo of Master Li Hongzhi, and searched for Falun Gong books. A practitioner surnamed Lu, who was taking care of Ms. Liao at the time, tried to stop Cai by clarifying the truth to him.
Ms. Liao said to the officers, “I have been jailed twice for a total of seven years because I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The persecution in prison caused me to get uterine cancer, which developed rapidly. When the doctors said I only had only two to three months to live, the prison authorities released me because they did not want me to die there. I resumed the practice of Falun Gong, which saved my life. Several years passed. Master give me a second life. Last year, I passed out in my bathroom because of a cerebral infarction. My fellow practitioners found me and asked my family to take me to the hospital. I have been disabled now for more than a year. I chose to live alone to reduce the burden on my family. I have been taken care of by fellow practitioners. Please put down the picture of Master Li and the books by my master.”
However, the CCP personnel pushed her to the ground and confiscated the picture and several dozen Dafa books. They also detained practitioner Lu for several hours at the Luxianting Police Station.
Ms. Liao could not fall asleep that night. At 6:00 a.m. on the second morning, she tried to go to see Director Cai. She fell many times because she could not walk. Sympathetic pedestrians took her to the 610 Office. She waited until the office opened, but the staff did not allow her to get in until the afternoon, when she was desperate to use bathroom. Ms. Liao insisted that the authorities return her Falun Gong books and pictures.
Staff from the office claimed that her books and pictures were at the police station, and at the same time they informed the neighborhood 610 Office in the area, as well as her son who lived in Pingjiang City. Director Fang Yu from the neighborhood 610 Office and another police officer checked her cell phone for her contacts with other practitioners, and refused to return her personal belongings. They also threatened to arrest those Falun Gong practitioners who were taking care of her. Finally, Ms. Liao was forcibly taken back home.
