(Minghui.org) Mr. Kang Youyuan, Ms. Liu Zhenli, and two other practitioners were tried in Dongxihu District Court in Wuhan on August 5, 2014.
Ms. Liu Zhenli, 39, who worked at the Xingou Town Cotton Mill, was reported for putting up posters promoting Falun Gong on March 3, 2014. Officers from the Wujiashan Police Station arrested her and took her to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center two days later. This was her third arrest in four years.
Ms. Liu's family went to the Wujiashan Police Station to ask about the arrest. Officer Xu Hongzhe, who participated in the arrest, said that Ms. Liu was posting anti-government slogans and had therefore violated Article 300 of the criminal law, which is “utilizing cult organizations to sabotage law enforcement.” When the family asked him to specify which law Ms. Liu had sabotaged, Xu did not answer.
Xu Hongzhe and another officer delivered an arrest notification to the home of Ms. Liu's sister on March 21, 2014. When Ms. Liu's sister argued with them, they threatened to take away her retirement benefits.
Ms. Liu was held in a brainwashing center in 2011 for over 40 days. She was arrested and sent to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in 2012. For more information about Ms. Liu's past arrests, see Ms. Liu Zhenli from Wuhan Arrested for the Third Time
