Prosecutor's Evidence Exposes Crimes Committed by the CCP

August 25, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Zhiwu was recently tried for the second time for using currency bills with Falun Gong information written on them. The evidence presented by the prosecuting procurator was that Mr. Wang had been sentenced to a labor camp before. People in the courtroom commented that this reminded them of the crimes committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Second Trial Adjourned

The procurator from the Congtai District Procuratorate introduced the fact that Mr. Wang had been sentenced to a labor camp as “new evidence” during the second trial in the Congtai District Court on August 12, 2014. Mr. Wang's attorney immediately objected. The procurator was unable to provide an explanation, and the judge had to call for a recess.

After the trial reconvened, the judge interrupted the attorney's defense and Mr. Wang's speech many times. He wanted to end the trial quickly and did not allow them to speak freely.

Discussing the "New Evidence"

Mr. Wang had been arrested by officers from the Hanshan Police Department, Fuyuan Police Station, in February 2005. He was sentenced to three years of forced labor at the Handan Forced Labor Camp, where he was brutally tortured.

Mr. Wang was held in a small cell, brutally beaten, hung up by handcuffs, shocked with electric batons, and deprived of sleep for eight days and nights. The guards forced him to wear a plastic pan as a hat, with wooden bars under his arms. They pulled out his eyebrows and painted on his face with ink to humiliate him. A guard ordered an inmate to beat him in April 2005, and he lost two teeth.

The “new evidence” presented by the procurator did nothing more than remind people of the crimes committed by the CCP minions.

First Trial Ends Without a Verdict

Officers from the Congtai District Police Department and the Lianfangdong Police Station stormed into Mr. Wang's bicycle repair stall on the afternoon of May 5, 2014. They confiscated 13,000 yuan in currency bills with Falun Gong truth-clarification messages written on them, over 20 copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and some Falun Gong informational DVDs.

Mr. Wang's first trial was held on July 8, 2014, in the Congtai District Court. The judge showed Mr. Wang the photo of his truth-clarification bill with the characters “Falun Gong is good.”

Mr. Wang said, “I want everyone to hear that Falun Gong is good and hear about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries. In other countries, people can practice Falun Gong. It is banned only in China. There is no place for me to appeal for Falun Gong. I can only do it this way.”

Mr. Wang then said to the judge, “You said that all my bills had words on them. Please tell me what those characters are. Read them to us.” The judge was speechless, and the proceedings ended without a verdict.
