(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wan Taoying Faces Illegal Prosecution

Ms. Wan Taoying was arrested when she walked past Han Guochang and other officers from the Jinxian County Domestic Security Division on April 16, 2013. She has been detained for over one year. Her suffered whole body edema as a result of abuse. Her stomach began bleeding on the morning of April 23, 2014. She passed out when she was treated at a hospital.

On May 23, 2014, the Jinxian County Court indicted Ms. Wan on trumped-up charges.

2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Wenling Arrested

Ms. Zhang Wenling was arrested by officers from the Liaocheng Train Station Police Station when she checked in on June 23, 2014.

3. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Guizhi, about 58, and two practitioners, from the Chaoyang District, were arrested by officers from the Tiantan Police Station on June 9, 2014. They were held in the Daxing Detention Center for ten days. Afterwards, they were transferred to a brainwashing center in the Wangsiying area, Chaoyang District.

4. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Middle School Teacher Ms. Yang Xinqiu Detained

Middle school teacher Ms. Yang Xinqiu was arrested by police officer Wang Zhongshan for playing voice messages about Falun Gong at school on the afternoon of June 19, 2014. The police broke into her home. They took her printer and Falun Dafa books. She is being held in the Jiamusi Detention Center.

5. [Xushui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuxia and Ms. Yuan Guiping in Police Custody

Ms. Zhao Shuxia and Ms. Yuan Guiping from the Zhongguzhuangying Village were arrested on the morning of June 23, 2014. They are being held in the Gaolincun Town Police Station.

6. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Arrested; Ms. Chen Youping Missing

Ms. Zhu Fengying, Ms. Wu Xiaoxia, Ms. Yu Yunxian, and Ms. He Luping were arrested by officers from the police station on June 22, 2014. Their current situation is unknown. Ms. Chen Youping's whereabouts are also unknown.

7. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cai Fengqin Arrested

Ms. Cai Fengqin was arrested on the evening of June 23, 2014. She was released that night.

8. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Chengying and Ms. Sun Sufen Detained

Ms. Cao Chengying, from the Dongwanghuangzhuang Village, and Ms. Sun Sufen, from the Mengjiahuangzhuang Village, were arrested for telling people about Falun Gong and the persecution. The arrest took place on the morning of June 23, 2014 at the Shigou farm market in Lingquan Town. They were body searched and the officers took their Falun Dafa books.

The practitioners were taken to the Junan County Detention Center the same afternoon. Because Ms. Sun is over 70 years old, she was taken home by her family. Ms. Cao remained.

9. [Ulanhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Arrested

Domestic Security Division head Xing Guangzhong arrested Ms. Wang Yajun and Ms. Wang Lijuan on the morning of June 14, 2014. The police also arrested Ms. Zhang Cuiping who was forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid persecution.

Ms. Wang Shuhua was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers in a supermarket on the morning of June 17, 2014. The police searched Ms. Wang Yajun's home and took a printer and Falun Gong informational materials.

10. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yuqin Arrested

Tian Kezhu, secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Zhou Wei, deputy director of the Muling City Police Department, and a dozen or so other people arrested Ms. Gao Yuqin on the afternoon of May 2, 2014. The police ransacked her home, and took a notebook computer, and all her Falun Dafa books and materials.

11. [Xingwen County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Jiansheng Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Jiansheng was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison on June 24, 2014.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Xia Taken to Brainwashing Center

On May 14, 2014, 610 Office agents transferred Ms. Zhang Xia from the Wuhan Women's Reeducation Institute to the Jianghan District Brainwashing Center.

13. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Peng Jianpu Arrested

Mr. Peng Jianpu, 64, was arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of June 21, 2014. The officers beat him, causing his face to bleed. His whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhongxiu Missing

Ms. Wang Zhongxiu has been missing since the morning of June 24, 2014.
