(Minghui.org) Officers from the Hengshui 610 Office, along with Hengshui and Zaoqiang County police, raided the homes of several Falun Gong practitioners in Zaoqiang before dawn on May 30, 2014. They arrested the practitioners and their family members, and confiscated many of their personal belongings. A pregnant woman had to be rushed to the hospital as a result of the police's actions.
A group of officers entered a home owned by Mr. Zhang Hongguo in the Nanguan area. His son was living there at the time. They ransacked the home and confiscated some of the son's personal belongings. The officers then went to another home owned by Mr. Zhang in the Yuhua Community. They arrested him, along with his wife and daughter. His home was ransacked and the police confiscated his computer, printer, money, and his car.
Mr. Liu Xiwei and his son, Mr. Liu Bing, were arrested at their store. Mr. Liu's wife, Ms. Sun, and her mother were arrested at their home in Jing County at around the same time.
Officers then went to the home of Ms. Chen Yuying. They threatened her family when they could not find her. The officers returned several times to harass the family. Ms. Chen was forced to leave home to avoid arrest.
Officers broke into the home of Mr. Liu Hongqiao, thinking that he was a practitioner. Once they were in the house, they pushed and forcibly held down Mr. Liu's daughter. No explanation or arrest warrant was provided.
Mr. Liu's daughter was pregnant at the time, and the rough treatment by police had a detrimental effect on her and her unborn child. She was rushed to the Zaoqiang County Hospital emergency room, before being transferred to a Beijing hospital.
This is the fifth time Mr. Zhang Hongquo has been arrested for his belief. He has been held in detention centers and brainwashing centers many times. His home has been ransacked, his property seized, and his money taken.
Ms. Chen Yuying has been arrested seven times. She has been held in detention centers and brainwashing centers for a total of more than 80 days. The police have extorted tens of thousands of yuan from her over the years.
