Relentlessly Persecuted, Innocent Woman Is Snatched at a Railroad Station on Way to Nephew's Wedding

June 28, 2014 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) “Don't mention the law to us—we are bandits,” the police told Ms. Xiao Mingxia. As they snatched her away at a railway station, they continued to prod her: “The CCP has the upper hand, and power is law. What can you do about it?”

When Ms. Xiao, from Tugou Village, Shizilu Town, Junan County, was seized that day, she was on her way to her nephew's wedding. That June 1, 2014, arrest was orchestrated by the Junan County Judiciary and Political Committee, the County 610 Office, and the Domestic Security Team.

Ms. Xiao warned the authorities that their actions were illegal and a violation of her rights. However, they still took away her cell phone and money. Later, she was interrogated by Chen Xin and Guo Qiang at the Chengnan Police Station.

They tried coercion and inducement: “If you tell us who else is practicing Falun Gong in your village, we will let you go home right away.” Ms. Xiao refused and questioned them instead: “Visiting my family is my right. How can you knowingly violate the law like this?”

Chen Xin and others went to Ms. Xiao's home and attempted to break inside, but failed. They then took Ms. Xiao to the County Detention Center and accused her of being a member of a cult organization.

Chen Xin and others went to Ms. Xiao's home a second time that night, and Chen climbed over the fence to break into her home. They then took away 4,000 yuan worth of personal belongings. They also took away Ms. Xiao's husband Du Cunmin and held him at the County Detention Center.

Ms. Xiao was held for ten days, and she missed her nephew's wedding and a chance for a family reunion. Her husband Du Cunmin is still held in detention.

Relentless Persecution

Ms. Xiao, 45, began practicing Falun Gong in May of 1997. The healing power of Falun Gong improved her mentally and physically, and her family became harmonious.

Since the persecution was launched in July 1999, she has suffered relentless persecution at the hands of the CCP and its thugs.

She was arrested and detained shortly after July 20, 1999, and held for numerous days in a local police station. She was also held at the Banxuan Brainwashing Center for two weeks in the summer of 2000 by the county 610 Office.

The same authorities took her to the county detention center in the spring of 2001 for a month, and then they transferred her to correctional facility for another few weeks. Her husband was arrested at the same time and held for two weeks. In the winter of 2001, she was again taken to a brainwashing center, where she was held for two weeks.

Those authorities again arrested her and took her to a senior facility for two weeks of forced brainwashing in the spring of 2003. When her husband demanded her release, he was detained for a month as well.

On May 10, 2005, Officers Chen Xin and Ma Zongtao took Ms. Xiao to the Yishui Detention Center for 20 days. She was then transferred to the Jinan No. 1 Women's Labor Camp for two years. After she was released on March 31, 2007, local 610 officers continued to harass her.

In the last eight years, Ms. Xiao has been arrested, tortured, abused, and threatened countless times. Her family and children have also suffered endless trauma, yet the harassment persists.
