(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners participated in the “People's Meeting” (Folkemødet) on Bornholm, Denmark, from June 12 to 15, 2014. An annual event, the People's Meeting is a major gathering on Bornholm, an island in the Baltic Sea. The gathering provides Danish citizens, politicians, business people and NGOs a platform for informal, open debate, to address society's opportunities and challenges. The debates and seminars are free and open to all.
Falun Gong practitioners took this opportunity to introduce the Falun Gong exercises and principles of the practice, and expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Those who learned about the Chinese Communist Party's state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners signed the 2014 DAFOH (Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting) petition and an open letter to the Danish Parliament. Within 2 days, a total of 936 signatures were collected.
This year's four-day event, with more than 2,000 activities/topics in political, and cultural fields, attracted over 80,000 visitors.

Many people were fascinated by the beautiful exercise movements and expressed an interest in learning the practice. Some asked for introductory materials and contact information for local group practice sites.

Practitioners also distributed informational materials at different locations on Bornholm Island. They told people about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong, the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Falun Gong's wide spread around the world, and the ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Many were shocked to hear of the CCP's appalling crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
People sign a petition by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) and an open letter to the Danish Parliament.
Friends and family members encouraged each other to sign the petition and the open letter to the Danish Parliament. Some people took the initiative to sign the petition after reading the Falun Gong practitioners' display. Many of them wished Falun Gong practitioners success in bringing about an end to the persecution.
