(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 35 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Longxi County, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Faqiang Arrested

Mr. Yang Faqiang accompanied his parents to return to their hometown and visit relatives early on the morning of April 20, 2014. Police arrested him in the waiting room at the train station. He is being held in the Wenfeng Train Station in Longxi County.

2. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] Ms. Lu Xiurong and Mr. Zheng Guangxi Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiurong, in her fifties, along with Mr. Zheng Guangxi, were arrested at home by officers from the Dancheng County Political Security Division.

3. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Kuiqiu Arrested

Ms. Yang Kuiqiu, 70, was recently arrested and taken to the city's police department.

4. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ning Bohua and His Mother Arrested

Mr. Ning Bohua and his mother were arrested by officers from the Changshou Police Station. Their whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Jiang Hai and Other Practitioners Detained

Mr. Jiang Hai, Mr. Dong Honghua, along with other practitioners, were arrested on April 18, 2014. They are being held in a detention center.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Xiaodong Arrested

Mr. Zhu Xiaodong went to Ms. Li Jianmei's home on April 17, 2014, and was arrested by police.

7. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Shen Gengyan and His Wife Ms. Yuan Shu'ai Arrested

Mr. Shen Gengyan, 76, and his wife, Ms. Yuan Shu'ai, 68, were arrested at home on April 18, 2014, by officers from the Pingdingshan Police Department, who broke in. All Dafa books were confiscated, along with cell phones and other belongings.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yuxian, Ms. Ma Hongjiao, and Ms. Dong were arrested by officers from the Hadawan Police Station while they were speaking to people about Falun Gong. The three practitioners are now being held in the Jilin City No. 3 Detention Center.

9. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yuan Yujiao and Ms. He Xinfang Sentenced

Ms. Yuan Yujiao and Ms. He Xinfang, who were held in the Xingning Detention Center, were recently sentenced. Ms. Yuan was sentenced to six years in prison, and Ms. He to five years in prison.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Du Longping and Ms. Song Ling Detained

Officers from the Kunming Street Police Station ransacked Mr. Du Longping's and Ms. Song Ling's homes on April 17, 2014, while they were out distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Mr. Du and Ms. Song were arrested and taken to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City that night.

11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Junqing Detained

Ms. Han Junqing, 60, was followed and arrested by undercover police while she was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on March 30, 2014. Her home was subsequently ransacked. She is being held in the Fujia Detention Center.

12. [Donghai County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Liu Xiuzhen was arrested on April 20, 2014. She is being held in the Lianyungang Detention Center.

13. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Fourteen Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ma Ling and thirteen other practitioners were arrested on the evening of April 19, 2014, when they were visiting a practitioner in the Shilin area. Among those arrested were Ms. Ma's mother, Mr. Lu Liang, and Mr. Yi Liang.

14. [Sheyang County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Ling Detained

Ms. Zhang Ling, from Xingqiao Town, was arrested by officers from the Sheyang County Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of April 17, 2014. She is being held at the Liugongli Detention Center in Yancheng City.

15. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lin Canhua Threatened with Dismissal from School

Ms. Lin Canhua, a junior student at the Sichuan Normal University, posted Falun Gong informational materials on dormitory doors on the evening of April 15, 2014. Li Zheng, from the Institute of Technology, located Ms. Lin, and forced her to turn in all the informational materials.

Li Ji, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary of the Institute of Technology, along with Li Zheng and officers from the Damian Police Station, ordered Ms. Lin's parents to take her home to “transform her mind,” threatening that otherwise she would not be allowed to go back to school. She is now at home.

16. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu and Ms. Cao Arrested

Ms. Liu and Ms. Cao were arrested by officers from the Wuyi Road Police Station on April 19, 2014.

Mr. Xing Ting, from Lianzhuang Village, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division while she was telling people about Falun Gong in Huaishu Village.
