(Minghui.org) I often feel very fortunate to have become a Falun Dafa practitioner and to be able to assist Master in helping people to understand the truth of Falun Dafa and the persecution to save them. I often shout in my mind: I have Master! I have Master!
Since I am new in this city, I don't have much contact with fellow practitioners. But, luckily, I can log onto the Minghui website. This makes me feel like I have a vast cultivation environment. I started with downloading the Falun Dafa truth-clarification letters and then I would sent them out, and include DVDs of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to those who participated in the persecution cases I read about on Minghui. This cross-region mailing had a very good effect. I read on Minghui that the arrested fellow practitioners whom I participated in rescuing had been released, and I was very much encouraged.
I feel that it is very important to send the materials with information about specific content to specific persons.
For example, the heads of the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division in the neighboring city had arrested many practitioners and sentenced them or taken them to a brainwashing center. I then sent letters to them and their family members as well as to their colleagues, with different content. I also sent the letters with more general content that I downloaded from Minghui, focusing on exposing the persecution to many different organizations in that city. Later, I heard that the heads of the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division in that city were transferred to another position.
By studying the Fa more, it can help to rectify my bad habits, and resolve many problems. For example, the Fa endowed me with the ability to use the cell phone to clarify the truth, to print truth-clarifying messages on currency bills, edit and print truth-clarifying documents, and how to use image editing software. I am not an expert on them, but it is enough to help save people.
To clarify the truth over the cell phone is also a process to cultivate myself. When I heard some practitioners had begun to call directly, instead of only sending text messages, I then immediately started to call.
Master said,
“That is not out of compassion, as one’s attachments to fame and self-interest have not been given up at all. This person is unable to develop this compassion one bit.” (Lecture Two in Zhuan Falun)
I realized that my hurrying up to call was pretty much out of jealousy, but not from a pure heart with the wish to save people. I also realized that I only attached importance to the number of people whom I had persuaded to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. From then on, every time I made truth-clarification phone calls, I always reminded myself first: to save people with the purest heart.
One time, a man answered my phone call and he asked me, “Do you know who I am? You even dare to call me? I can find you immediately and have people catch you!” He hung up the phone. I called him again with a peaceful mind, but he didn't dare to answer it again. I knew that it was the evil factors in other dimensions that were scared.
Another time, a woman answered the phone and said unhappily that I was disturbing her and would not listen to me. I then said goodbye politely, and wished her more chances to hear the truth.
In the process of truth-clarification, I came across all different types of people. No matter what attitude he or she had when hearing the truth, I always kept a tranquil mind and to leave a good impression.
Master said,
“Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness. Don't lose those who should be saved, especially those with predestined connections.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”)
The people whom I contacted most were my family members. I attached great importance in cultivating myself within my family. Originally my husband was afraid upon seeing a flier at home, but now he has begun to support Dafa.
I usually paid close attention to how I spoke to my family and my actions while in their presence. When I came across people who responded to my truth-clarification positively, I would always talk to my husband so that he would get more positive messages. When someone would infringe on the interests of our family and said some bad things, I explained to him that we should be more tolerant and not be attached to money. Usually, when I read Dafa books, he would not watch television so as not to disturb me. When I was busy in visiting Dafa websites and making truth-clarification materials, he would do all the housework. When he shops, he would always use the cash bills with truth-clarification messages on them. Sometimes the sellers ask, “Why are all the bills about quitting the Party?” My husband would answer, “They say these kinds of bills will bring you blessings.”
When I visit my parents and am confronted with conflicts, I always handle everything based on the Dafa principles, therefore I have won the respect of my family.
Every day, I have a tight schedule. I study the Fa, talk to people about Falun Dafa, visit Dafa websites and do the housework.
One night, it was raining and snowing and it looked so desolate outside. This gave me an overwhelming feeling. I thought of Master's teaching,
“... man is really insignificant before the forces of nature. If the cosmic catastrophe were to truly arrive, he would be finished.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple” 2011)
After recalling this Fa, I immediately picked up the phone and went into the streets, despite the strong wind and rain, to save people.
I dare not to slack off even a little bit. I always remind myself, that I should cherish each single day in cultivation, and should cultivate myself diligently with the mentality of “cultivating as though just beginning,” so as to save more people.
