(Minghui.org) Over 20 plainclothes police forced their way into Mr. Li Shuliang's home on April 15, 2014 and ransacked it. They also threatened to arrest Mr. Li's elder son Mr. Li Ruifeng.
Mr. Li Shuliang is a Falun Gong practitioner in Jining, Shandong Province. He and his wife, both nearly 80 years old, have two sons. The younger son suffers mental retardation and needs constant care. Their elder son Mr. Li Ruifeng used to be congenitally half deaf, but after practicing Falun Gong, his hearing and language functions improved significantly, and he now speaks clearly. His miraculous experience is well known in local areas.
After the Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong, Mr. Li Ruifeng was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor, and three years in jail. During the imprisonment he suffered inhuman torture, such as being handcuffed behind his back for a long time, beaten, frozen in the snow, etc. Mr. Li was released from Taian Prison in 2010.
Someone knocked on Mr. Li Ruifeng's door around 10 a.m. on April 15, 2014. Looking through the peep hole and seeing someone dressed as a police officer, he locked the door and asked through the kitchen window what this was about. The man told Mr. Li to open the door for questioning but he declined. Then seven or eight men came and tried to convince Mr. Li to open the door. After Mr. Li opened the door, he asked to see their police ID, but they refused.
Instead, they took out two pieces of paper and told him that one was a search warrant from Jinan City (the capital city of Shandong Province), and the other was a summons card from Yanzhou. When Mr. Li Ruifeng tried to take photos of the police with his mobile phone, one man quickly snatched his phone. The police stayed outside the door until noon, and then they left and forced their way into the home of Mr. Li Ruifeng's parents.
Over 20 officers broke into Mr. Li Shuliang's home. Some of them watched the old couple while the rest rummaged, looted, and loaded their belongings into the police car. The police also attempted to take the safe in which the couple stored their retirement pension. Mr. Li Shuliang told them, “This is my small retirement pension, the whole family relies on it to live.” A leader waved to the officer holding the safe and he put it back.
Throughout the entire process, the men did not show any proof of identity, nor did they give the elderly couple a list of the items they took. When they were questioned by the elderly couple, they claimed to come from Jinan, and threatened to arrest their son Mr. Li Ruifeng. They also asked the old man if he knew a person in Yanzhou. Seeing that the man was old, slow, and not of good memory, the men gave up getting any answers from him. They finally drove away with the looted items.
