(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Beijing] Two Practitioners and Two Non-Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liang Quan, his wife, and two non-practitioners from Sanfu Village, Hebei Town, Fangshan District, were arrested on the afternoon of April 11, 2014. Officers from the Qinglonghu Police Station ransacked their homes and confiscated computers and other belongings.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhong Rong Arrested

Ms. Zhong Rong, from Fengjie County, was arrested while distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of March 18, 2014. She was detained for 15 days by the Domestic Security Division.

Ms. Zhong was taken to a detention center on April 11, 2014.

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Chunling and Mr. Yu Sen Detained

Ms. Zheng Chunling and Mr. Yu Sen were arrested by Nanjing Street Police Station officers while telling others about Falun Gong on April 5, 2014.

On April 6, 2014 the officers took Ms. Zheng back to her home, ransacked it and took her Dafa books. Both practitioners were taken to a detention center on April 6 and detained for 15 days.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shufen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shufen was arrested while speaking to people about Falun Gong on April 11, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Xintai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Kuang Shihua and His Wife Ms. Li Shufang Detained

Mr. Kuang Shisha and his wife Ms. Li Shufang, workers at the Xinwen Mining Bureau, Shandong Province, were arrested by Wenzhong Police Station officers on April 11, 2014. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated a computer, two printers, bank book, cash, and other personal belongings. The couple is being held at the Xintai Detention Center.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Fan Wanxia Arrested

Ms. Fan Wanxia was arrested by Baoshan District Police Station officers on April 11, 2014.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Sun Shaofang Arrested

Ms. Sun Shaofang, 79, was arrested by police at her home on March 7, 2014. The officers ransacked her home, and she was taken to a brainwashing center. She was released on April 8, 2014.

8. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Yan's Release Postponed

Ms. Li Yan was sentenced to seven years in prison on May 16, 2008. She was held in the Jinzhong City Prison, Shanxi Province. The prison officials told her family that her term was to be reduced by 14 months and she would be released on March 15, 2014. The officials have now extended the release date by two months so they could continue to persecute her.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Huiping Taken Back to Jinzhou Detention Center

Ms. Xu Huiping was illegally sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Taihe District Court. She was recently moved from the Jinzhou Detention Center to Dabei Prison. The prison officials refused to admit her because of her high blood pressure and heart problems. She was taken back to the detention center.

10. [Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Jinying Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yu Jinying, 68, was arrested at the Tangjia Trading Market on the morning of April 11, 2014. She is being held in the Shengcai Brainwashing Center.

11. [Zoucheng County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chirong Detained

Ms. Liu Chirong, 50, was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers at a village in Zoucheng County while she distributed Falun Gong informational materials on April 12, 2014. She was taken to a local detention center.
