(Minghui.org) Well over a dozen Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Shanghai recently, most of them over 60 years old.

A dozen plus practitioners were arrested on the morning of February 20, 2014, by officers from the Xuhui District Domestic Security Division when they were watching a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD at Mr. Gu Shouxian's home.

Mr. Gu's home was ransacked, and the practitioners were taken to the Xujia Hui Police Station. Seven were illegally detained, including Mr. Gu Shouxian, 75, and his wife Ms. Chen, 75; Ms. Gong, 78; Ms. Hong; 60; Ms. Wang and her sister, both 60; and Ms. Lu, 70. They are all being held in the Xuhui Detention Center.

Another approximately eight practitioners from the Minhang District were arrested at around noon on February 24, 2014, when they were reading Falun Gong lectures at Ms. Lu Lingxiu's home. Six of their homes were ransacked. Among those arrested were Ms. Xie Aiqun, Ms. Zhang Jixiu, Ms. He Bingqin, and Zhang (surname).
