(Minghui.org) I am a 63-year-old Falun Gong practitioner, and I go out every afternoon to tell people about the relentless persecution of this wonderful practice that is carried out by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Having benefited so much personally from the practice, I cannot stand by and let the CCP deceive the public using groundless allegations against Falun Gong. I feel that I must warn people of the danger of associating themselves with such atrocities and those who are responsible for them.
When the CCP is finally brought to justice for the wrongs it has done to Falun Gong, those involved will pay a price. So whenever there is a chance, I urge people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, including the Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
To spread the word, I go to many different places in my local area to pass out truth-clarification materials with messages about the goodness of Dafa, and the deceit and brutality of the CCP. We have booklets and DVDs year-round for people to take, and at each Chinese New Year, our local practitioners also make many truth-clarification calendars just for the holiday season.
As soon as the 2014 calendars became available this year, I began distributing them, along with other kinds of materials. It was very encouraging to see many people eager to take the calendars.
From police officers to security guards, from street vendors to market-goers, and from retired teachers to the disabled, everyone wanted a truth-clarification calendar!
I would like to share a few such stories from distributing calendars during the past few weeks.
While I was talking to someone about Falun Gong, a young police officer suddenly came out of nowhere and ran towards me.
I thought he was going to arrest me, but to my surprise, he called out, “Ma'am! Please give me a calendar!”
He was very pleased after I gave him a calendar, and he read it as he walked away.
When I gave a calendar to the security guard in my apartment complex, he asked for an extra copy for his girlfriend.
I ran into him again the next day when I went to pay the property management fee. He exclaimed, “The messages on the calendar are really good!”
I asked him, “Then why don't you quit the CCP?”
He then agreed to quit the Youth League, and promised to contact me later to learn more about Falun Gong.
When I saw two street vendors shivering in the cold at a local market, I struck up a conversation with them. They didn't hesitate when I urged them to quit the Young Pioneers. They also accepted the calendars.
Before I knew it, I was surrounded by market-goers, all of whom wanted calendars. One of them said to me, “We know you guys make these calendars every year and we're always on the look out for them this time of year!”
One older man was particularly happy and kept saying, “I am so lucky! I got a calendar last year and now I have one for this year.” When I asked him if he had quit the CCP, he replied that he had already done so online last year.
When I saw a man walking in my direction, I approached him to exchange pleasantries. I was happy to learn that he, a retired teacher, already knew about the movement to quit the CCP from a currency bill that had a truth-clarification message written on it.
However, he didn't quite understand why people were being encouraged to quit the CCP. After I explained to him the reasons, he immediately asked me to help him quit as well.
Before we parted ways, he asked for a copy of the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to read at home.
On my way home, I saw a person with partial paralysis doing exercises in the park, and decided to talk to him. Before I could say anything, a sudden gust of wind almost knocked him down. I rushed to catch him and he was very grateful.
However, when I offered to share some good things with him, he became very suspicious, and immediately asked if I was a Falun Gong practitioner.
I nodded and he continued, “Other practitioners have already told me about the blessings. I don't really agree with everything you guys say, but I have no doubt you are all kindhearted people. The communist regime is very cruel and you have to be careful when talking to people about Falun Gong.”
I wasn't able to get him to quit the CCP this time, but I was still happy that at least he knew that practitioners were good people.
I was struggling to get out of my house one snowy day when I came across a story about an 80-year-old practitioner who worked tirelessly to tell people about the persecution. I was deeply moved. After all, at age 63, I am much younger and had no excuse at all to slack off in my truth-clarification efforts.
I decided to go out as usual to talk to people about Falun Gong.
An elderly woman thanked me for cautioning her to be careful on the slippery road, and happily quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers. She also took a copy of the calendar.
When I gave one middle-aged woman a calendar, she asked for an additional copy for her family and friends.
One elderly couple promised to read the messages on the calendar carefully after they returned home.
A car stopped by me and the driver rolled down the window, asking, “Please give me a copy of the calendar, too!”
