(Minghui.org) According to ancient lore, there is a huge tree that covers half of a gigantic lake in China. The lord of that particular lake is a silver arowana fish, also called a Dragon Fish, in this dimension.
One day, a Falun Dafa practitioner, in the image of a goddess from a higher realm, stood under the tree. She was talking to the lord of the lake, also a god. This god wanted to be saved when the Fa rectifies the world.
The practitioner told him that there were so many sentient beings waiting to be saved, and one has to wait his turn. The practitioner asked him to be patient and wait a little longer.
The arowana became very agitated and splashed the water angrily, creating tall dark waves 20 feet wide that traveled from one end of the lake to the other end.
Then the god turned into a gigantic arowana, which rose up and then dived into the water many times. It finally calmed down, turned into the image of a god, and stood next to the practitioner. He agreed to the practitioner's arrangement.
Sole Hope for Salvation
The significance of my telling this story is that many sentient beings want to be saved when the Fa rectifies the world. My understanding is that practitioners are the only hope of salvation for sentient beings, and not just people in this world, but also high level beings in other dimensions. For this reason, we should follow Master's teachings, fulfill our duties, and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to save sentient beings.
Master said:
“Sentient beings! All that you have been hoping for, awaiting, and concerned over for thousands of years has arrived, and is in fact currently unfolding. Through it each and every person is choosing, whether knowingly or not, his or her fate … I would like to tell you: Dafa disciples are the sole hope of salvation for the beings in each region and each nation. Cherishing what they are doing amounts to cherishing yourselves!” (“My Thanks to Sentient Beings Who Have Sent Greetings," The Essentials of Diligent Progress, Vol III)
This is my personal understanding, for reference only.
