(Minghui.org) The Statue of Liberty is a must-see for most Chinese tourists visiting the United States, and it's also a place where Falun Gong practitioners talk to them to clarify the truth. Many tourists renounced their membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or its affiliated organizations during the Chinese New Year holiday.

Groups of Chinese high school students led by their teachers are a common sight. Many of them know how to circumvent the Internet blockage in China, and are more informed about world events, including the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Wang holds a poster board for Chinese tourists. Practitioners also spread the facts in other ways including broadcasting recordings about the persecution, distributing brochures and putting up banners.

Chinese Tourists Handle Hearing the Facts with Less Fear

A 70-year-old practitioner was on site on February 8. According to her, nearly 80 people renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations there in a little over an hour.

Many tourists asked for Nine Commentaries on Communist Party . Contrary to the fear demonstrated in the past by immediately hiding the book, some have open conversations with practitioners while holding it in their hands.

One practitioner said, “Two tourists passed by once. I heard one explaining live organ harvesting [of Falun Gong practitioners] to the other. It's one example of those who know the truth spreading it to others.”

“I am seeing big changes.” She added.

“Do You Have the Book Zhuan Falun ?”

A Chinese lady in her 60s with two companions came to the informational site two weeks ago. The lady spoke to one of the two men. He then approached a practitioner and asked, “Do you have the book Zhuan Falun ?”

The practitioner told him that the book can be viewed online or purchased from Tianti Bookstore. He responded, “We don't have that much time. We need to leave soon.” The practitioner said, “I can give you mine. It is not new, but please read and treasure it.” He expressed his appreciation and took some information materials along with the book. He said before leaving, “We will read them carefully.”

“I Am a County Magistrate. Please Help Me Quit the Party!”

Once a group of Chinese tourists stepped off a bus and yelled at the practitioners, “You are not being patriotic!

One practitioner responded, “I know you are patriotic. But the CCP cannot represent China. It is against the heavens. Chinese traditional culture is a divinely inspired culture. Falun Gong is a practice that helps people be good by following Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. The CCP, on the other hand, has committed countless crimes, including the persecution of Falun Gong. It is going to be disintegrated soon. Many people want to quit it to dissociate their futures with the CCP's. Don't you agree?”

Some nodded their heads and smiled. Another said, “Yes. We know it well. We just do not dare to speak out.”

The practitioner further explained to them facts about Falun Gong and exposed the CCP's brutalities in the persecution and its atrocities of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. She told them that the purpose of the truth-clarification was to let them quit the Party for a better future. There were many ways to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, including online statements, writing it down on paper, or informing the practitioner volunteers.

One of them came back after the group had left for a while and said to the practitioner, “I am a county magistrate. Please help me quit the Party!”

Chinese Policemen Quit the Party

Once a practitioner met a tourist and spoke to him about Falun Gong. The tourist scolded her, “Don't say that! Do you know what I do?” He then showed his police identification.

The practitioner responded with a smile, “Very good. I've wanted to talk to a policeman. Take a look at your colleagues who are involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, how many of them have met with karmic retribution for their role?” The tourist eventually quit the Party after talking at length with the practitioner.

A group of big and tall Chinese policemen came to the information site another time. A volunteer stepped forward and explained the facts to them, but they cursed at her while surrounding her.

One of them tried to intimidate her, “Do you know what we do? I'll tell you. We have come to arrest you and take you back to China!” Another policeman smoked and intentionally burned the practitioner's pants with the lit cigarette.

She said to them calmly, “Don't you know this place? The United States is a democratic country, where the police protect people. If you hurt me, I will call the police.” These Chinese policemen quickly stopped yelling.

She continued, “You were given an opportunity to leave China and find out the facts. Why don't you take advantage of it? Infringing on people's basic human rights is a crime. The perpetrators will be brought to justice. Why do you allow yourselves to become tools of the CCP?”

She went on for about half an hour, explaining contemporary Chinese history to them in the context of the CCP's tyranny. The group of police tourists calmed down, and all except the one who burned the lady's pants agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. One of them also told her, “The Party fears Falun Gong the most.”
