(Minghui.org) On the afternoon of November 8, 2014, two policemen and one policewoman from Tahe County Police Department Domestic Security Division broke into the home of Changchun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Zonghai. They arrested him and took him to Changchun City First Detention Center (also called Weizigou Detention Center). The interrogator ordered him to sign a detention notice from the Tahe County Police Department. Mr. Yang refused to sign.

Mr. Yang's family went to the detention center to request his release. The police refused to let them see him and told them that he would be interrogated on November 10 and that they should go home to wait for the result. In evening on November 10 Mr. Yang was transferred to Tahe County Detention Center.

On November 13 Mr. Yang's family went to Tahe County Detention Center, but the police still refused to let them see him. The family confirmed that Mr. Yang was being detained in the backyard of the detention center.

Mr. Yang Zonghai, who is about 40 years old, comes from Tahe County, Heilongjiang Province. He has lived in Changchun for several years and has a small business. He is married and has a child. In early November he went back to his hometown to get his resident identification card and a household registration for his son. The local police traced Mr.Yang to his residence in Changchun and they broke into his home to take him away, saying they were settling a score from a decade ago.

After the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, Mr. Yang went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. He was caught and taken to the Greater Hinggan Range Liaison Office in Beijing. Officer Han Yuqing took several thousand yuan from Mr. Yang. He was then escorted back to the Tahe County Police Department. He was detained with other practitioners in Tahe County Detention Center. Mr. Yang was brutally force-fed and fined 3,000 yuan.

On the evening of the 2002 Mid-Autumn Festival, officers Xu Feng, Jin Long, Yang Kai, Shi Wei, and Han Yuqing from Tahe County Police Department and Zhang Quanlin from the local police station broke into Mr. Yang's home to harass him and try to force him to give up his belief. Mr. Yang refused to comply and escaped. Officer Jin Long fired three shots at Mr. Yang.

Later they ransacked Mr. Yang's home and harassed his family and relatives. Police launched a countywide manhunt. All major entrances to the county were blocked, and all the hotels were searched. Later Tahe County police also went to Harbin and elsewhere to try to arrest him. Mr. Yang was forced to relocate to avoid an arrest.

In June 6, 2006, Xu Feng, the deputy director of Tahe County Police Department; Jin Long; and Wang Chunli from the Political Security Section broke into Mr. Yang's parents' home. They photographed the Falun Dafa truth clarification materials, which they used as evidence to further persecute Mr. Yang. Mr. Yang had to move from place to place to keep from being arrested.

Over the past ten years, officers from Tahe County Police Department, Talin Police Station, and Domestic Security Division frequently harassed Mr Yang's friends and family.
