(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Urumqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Kong Qiuge Passed Away as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Kong Qiuge, about 70 years old, was arrested at home on June 27, 2014. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution while she was detained and was taken to the prison hospital. Ms. Kong recently passed away.

Ms. Kong was detained in forced labor camps repeatedly. She was placed in administrative detention for one month in June 2000. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in July 2000 and held in a forced labor camp for 18 months.

Ms. Kong was arrested for distributing information about Falun Gong in November 2003 and taken to a forced labor camp for a three-year term. She managed to go home 45 days later.

Ms. Kong was taken to a detention center in September 2009 and held there for one month.

2. [Urumqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Bai Yun and Ms. Bai Yi Tortured Severely

Ms. Bai Yun, 56, and Ms. Bai Yi, 64, were arrested by officers from the Shuimogou District Domestic Security Division on April 28, 2014. They are being held at the Third Detention Center of Urumqi Police Department. Ms. Bai Yi is now very weak. Her leg was injured and she moves slowly.

3. [Shanghai] Mr. Yu Yongsheng Arrested

Mr. Yu Yongsheng, a college professor, mailed letters about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 30, 2014. He was arrested and his home was ransacked. The police confiscated his computer, printer, and other property.

4. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Guizhi Persecuted to Mentally Unstable

Chang Xiaoli, deputy team leader of the Seventh Division of Heilongjiang Women's Prison, ordered criminal prisoners to brutally beat Ms. Zhang Guizhi, which caused her to become mentally unstable.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Tu Ziying Detained

Ms. Tu Ziying from Yunyang County was illegally sentenced to four years' imprisonment. She is being held at the Zouma Town Women's Prison.

6. [Cangzhou, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cao Yanxiang, Ms. Zhao Junru, Mr. Hou Dongliang, Mr. Chang Shouxuan, Mr. Li Li, Mr. Xu Kai, Mr. Liu Lixin, and Mr. Zhao Xiang were arrested recently.

7. [Zixing, Hunan Province] Mr. He Linguo Detained

Mr. He Linguo from Xingning Town, Zixing, used an MP3 player to broadcast information about Falun Gong in a public area on September 26, 2014. Someone reported him to the police. He was taken to a detention center.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Ye Cuiping Detained

Ms. Ye Cuiping from the Haidian District went out to distribute flyers about Falun Gong on November 11, 2014. She was arrested by officers from the Haidian Police Department. She is being held at the Sujiatuo Detention Center in the Haidian District. Her family members are not allowed to visit her.

9. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Zibiao Detained

The local police arrested Mr. Wang Zibiao from the Ranghulu District and ransacked his home on October 23, 2014. His printer, paper cutter, and other belongings were confiscated. He was taken to the Third Detention Center.

10. [Zibo, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Yan Arrested

Ms. Jiang Yan from the Zhangdian District went to New Dazhang Village in Zhangdian District and distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs and calendars with information about Falun Gong on the afternoon of October 24, 2014. She was arrested by officers from the Dazhang Police Station.

11. [Yantai, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liu Peitang, Mr. Yuan Zhongjie, and Ms. Lin Lanhua were arrested when they went to a farmer's market and talked to people about Falun Gong recently. Mr. Yuan and Ms. Lin were released late that night. Mr. Liu was held for five days.

12. [Chongqing] Ms. Gong Rubi Arrested

Ms. Gong Rubi was arrested by officers from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division for distributing information about Falun Gong on the morning of October 24, 2014.

13. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Sufang Arrested

Ms. Wang Sufang was arrested at home on October 16, 2014. Her home was ransacked.
