(Minghui.org) The police collected blood samples, fingerprints and signatures from five practitioners in Yi County over the past month. They also tried but failed to get blood from another 21 practitioners.
In mid-June 2014, the Yi County Political and Legal Affairs Committee unsuccessfully tried to gather all the county's Falun Gong practitioners and force them to register and “update their information.”
In early August, the Yi County police stations and community committees used the excuse of checking residency registrations to frequently harass a dozen practitioners and record their information and telephone numbers.
The Yi County police sent officers to harass the practitioners again beginning in mid-August. The officers, who operated in groups of from seven to ten, broke into the practitioners' homes or workplaces.
Claiming to be collecting baseline data, they took blood samples and fingerprints from the practitioners and got their signatures. Some were harassed six times at home and at work within very a short period. The police also harassed elderly practitioners and their families.
Yizhou Town Police Station chief Yang Zhou, Li Gang, and nine other officers broke into Balibao Elementary School in Chengguan Town, where Ms. Luo Xiangyin works, at 10:30 a.m. on September 12. They told the principal, “We need to find Falun Gong practitioner Luo Xiangyin for a blood sample, fingerprint, and signature to establish her baseline data.” The principal told them, “She did not come to work today.”
Yang Zhou told the police to search the school anyway. The police did not find her and left, but 20 minutes later, Yang Zhou said, “Let's go back to the school to find out if they hid Luo Xiangyin.” They went back and searched again, but still could not find her. They had already called Ms. Luo many times in August to harass her.
Officers from Yizhou Town Police Station in Yi County broke into Ms. Xia Guofen's home at 11 a.m. on September 11. They announced, “All the Falun Gong practitioners who have ever been arrested must provide their information, fingerprints, signatures, and blood samples. Otherwise we will arrest you.” Ms. Xia did not cooperate. The police threatened, “If you do not cooperate, we will arrest you and detain you, and it won't be easy for you to get out.”
Ms. Xia's husband was afraid that his wife would be arrested and tortured by the police again, so he pressured her to cooperate. Ms. Xia clarified the facts about Falun Gong to the police, but they said, “We are not afraid of incurring retribution.” Finally the police and Ms. Xia's husband forced her to give a blood sample, her fingerprints and to sign her name.
Yizhou Town Police Station officers broke into Ms. Wu Yuhong's home and her workplace three times each from early August to early September, but failed to find her. In the end, they found the security guard at the building where Ms. Wu lived and acquired her address and her family members' information and telephone numbers.
In September, chief Yang Zhou of the Yizhou Town Police Station called Mr. Li Fengtian and told him to come to the Police Station so they could check his blood type. Mr. Li firmly refused.
Another day, Yizhou Town Police Station officers broke into Mr. Tao Meng's home in Xinan Street to get a blood sample. They eventually gave up.
On September 5, Liu Xiangjun and other police officers broke into Ms. Gao Wenxiu's home to get a sample of her blood. She told them about Falun Gong and did not allow them to draw blood.
On September 4, chief Liu Xiangjun of Jiudaoling Town Police Station in Yi County and others broke into Ms. Gao Guixiu's home in Xingxingtun Village. They asked for a sample of her blood, but Ms. Gao refused to give it.
In early September, police officers from Qianyang Town, Yi County, broke into Ms. Yang Suzhen's home in Shahezi Village. Before they could say a word, Ms. Yang shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” She also told them the facts about Falun Gong. When they asked for a sample of her blood, Ms. Yang said, “Why do you want a sample of my blood? The CCP persecution of Falun Gong will soon be over. You should leave a way out for yourselves.” The officers left.
Yi County 610 Office agent Ma Yu called Mr. Tao Wenlong's home in Jiudaoling Town on August 28 and told him to go to the Yi County 610 Office for a blood check. Mr. Tao did not cooperate and hung up.
At the end of August, Chengguan Town Police Station officers broke into Ms. Chen Guilan's home in Guandimiao Village. Although Ms. Chen was not at home, the officers harassed and threatened her six family members, including her daughter and son-in-law.
At about the same time, the Chengguan Town Police Station broke into 11 practitioners' homes in Chengguan Village within a month and tried to draw blood from them. None of the practitioners cooperated.
In mid-August, Chengguan Town Police Station officers broke into Mr. Li Shijun's home to get a sample of his blood. He refused to cooperate. Also in August, officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station broke into the home of an over-80-year old practitioner in Qiaobei and obtained a blood sample by deception.
On August 11 and 12, officers Song Weixiang and others from Qianyang Town Police Station broke into the home of Mr. Zhang Bao and his wife, Ms. Chen Suhua, in Majiatun Village and Ms. Li Guanglan's home in Zhongni Village. They drew blood and took fingerprints from the three practitioners against their will. Then they went to Mr. Liu Cheng's home in Houni Village to harass him, but he was not there.
