(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Cuizhen Died from Torture

Ms. Wang Cuizhen was arrested and taken to the Dongming Police Station in 2008 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held at the Qingpu Forced Labor Camp for a year. She was released in 2009 and was very weak from having been tortured in the labor camp. She died three months after her release.

2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Wenmei Detained

Ms. Han Wenmei, in her fifties, was arrested by Ma Mingxuan, Party Secretary of Majia Village, and officers from the Lutou Police Station on the afternoon of September 4, 2014. She was taken to the Fushan Detention Center in Yantain City. Ms. Han was reported while distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

3. [Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Yongqin Detained

Ms. Li Yongqin was arrested by officers from the Yanzhou City 610 Office on August 13, 2014, when she visited her family in Shandong Province. She is being held in a detention center. The Yangzhou Procuratorate officials recently threatened to sentence Ms. Li.

4. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yuan Chengyun Detained

Mr. Yuan Chengyun was arrested at home by officers from Xinyi City Police on September 29, 2014. He is being held at the Xinyi City Detention Center. Police ransacked his home.

5. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Cheng Yongyao Arrested

Mr. Cheng Yongyao was arrested in late September 2014.

6. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Shuli, Ms. Yu Lanying, and Ms. Liu Suqin are being held in the Eighth Criminal Division of the Ji County Police Department.

7. [Qinghai] Mr. Liu Qilong Arrested

Mr. Liu Qilong was arrested on September 26, 2014.

8. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Li Xiuhua was arrested and taken to the Laojun Town Police Department on the morning of October 3, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released two hours later.

9. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] One Practitioner Detained, Another Arrested

Ms. Yan Qingling and Ms. Zhou Qun were arrested at Ms. Yan's store by officers from the Keshannongchang Police Department in the morning of September 25, 2014. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, cellular phone cards, and other personal items. Ms. Zhou is being held at the Qiqihar Railway Detention Center; Ms. Yan was released the next afternoon.

10. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zheng Suhua Detained

Ms. Zheng Suhua was arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Station on February 18, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Langzhong City Detention Center.
