(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 2 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liang Meihua Arrested, Police Fabricate Evidence

Ms. Liang Meihua, 66, was arrested on the afternoon of November 18, 2013. She was taken to the Guangrunmen Police Station and interrogated. Chen Honghao and other police fabricated a written record and submitted it to the Xihu District Procuratorate as “evidence,” in order to open a court case against Ms. Liang.

2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoya Detained

Ms. Liu Xiaoya was forced into homelessness for about 6 months in order to avoid being arrested for her faith. Nevertheless, she was arrested by officers from the Shenyang Police Station at noon on January 3, 2014. She is being held at the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center.

3. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Ms. Luo Xiujie Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Luo Xiujie was arrested in April 2011. She was recently sentenced to 3.5 years in prison. She was taken to the Shenyang Prison in December 2013, but the prison refused to accept her because of her poor physical condition. Ms. Luo is being held in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun.

4. [Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yin Genquan Arrested

Mr. Yin Genquan was arrested by officers from the Xishu Police Station on January 3, 2014, for speaking to people about Falun Gong. Police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer, Falun Gong books, and other belongings.

5. [Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Qian Bohong Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Police searched Mr. Qian Bohong on the morning of January 4, 2014, while he was traveling for business. They found that he carried some Falun Gong audio and video materials. Officers from the Xuzhou Railroad Police Department of the Shanghai Railroad Bureau and the Xindong Community Police Station in Xinpu District subsequently ransacked his home.

Mr. Qian was arrested that afternoon. His current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Kong Hongyun Arrested

Ms. Kong Hongyun was arrested and taken to the Jingxiu Park Police Station on the morning of January 4, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

7. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Caiyun and Ms. Wang Xiaojun Detained

Ms. Wang Caiyun and Ms. Wang Xiaojun from Shandong Village, Mutoudeng Town, were arrested by Ren Yujie and two other policemen from the Mutoudeng Police Station on the afternoon of January 3, 2014. They are being held at the Qinglong Detention Center.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Tu Ziying Detained

Ms. Tu Ziying from Yunyang County was arrested by officers from the Yunyang Domestic Security Division around January 2, 2014. She is being held at the Yunyang Detention Center. Her family is not allowed to visit her.

9. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Kuixin and Ms. Wang Renqiu Arrested

Mr. Zheng Kuixin and Ms. Wang Renqiu were arrested on January 3, 2014.
