(Minghui.org) The following is being reported by an incarcerated Falun Gong practitioner, who has witnessed various evil deeds, torture and brutal maltreatment of Falun Gong practitioners during the last year in the Third Division of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
When a practitioner did not pass the medical examination in the Masanjia Hospital and was rejected by officials of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, guards bribed the director of the hospital, whose last name was Zhai, and then forcibly took that practitioner to the labor camp with a falsified medical clearance document.
In 2012, practitioners in the labor camp were forced to watch slanderous videos all day long. Officials also used various means in an attempt to force practitioners to give up their practice. These included coercion, threats, and more. Those who refused to give in were severely tortured.
Practitioner Ms. Xu Xiuhua was “transformed” on June 25 by being tortured. Soon after, she had high blood pressure, a stroke, and had to be hospitalized. One week later, due to fear of having to take responsibility, officials of the labor camp quickly released her on medical parole and sent her home.
Those steadfast practitioners, such as Meng Yue, Wang Tan, Ma Liguang, Chen Haibin, and others, were detained with several criminal inmates. Ms. Meng Yue was abused and had pain in her back, was bed-ridden and could not move. She was released after her term was extended by half a month.
Because Ms. Ma Liguang refused to give up her practice, guards dragged her around on the floor. Soon she showed serious heart disease symptoms and had to be hospitalized. This occurred many times. Officials of the labor camp refused to release her, and furthermore, extended her term by 15 days.
Ms. Wang Tan was beaten by guards many times and injured on many places of her body. She went on a hunger strike for over one month, and guards force-fed her every day. They put her in a solitary confinement cell, covered the door and windows with curtains and put up slanderous slogans everywhere in that room. In the winter, she was forced to sit on ice cold bricks and not allowed to sleep until 11:00 p.m. every day. Due to the torture, she became emaciated.
Ms. Wang Shulan was taken to a room, which was called “Donggang”, where she was tortured, beaten and cursed at. Due to the maltreatment, her arms were injured and she could not raise them. Her dentures fell out and she could not eat properly.
Ms. Zhang Lina suffered from being hung up, Ms. Sun Shuqing was shocked with electric batons. Ms. Sun Yun and Ms. Hao Qiujing were beaten and tortured.
Ms. Wang Xuemei was severely injured due to being tortured. Nevertheless, within three months after the torture, she was forced to follow others in walking up and down the stairs in the building. As a result, she became weak and one time fainted in the restroom. This fall injured her back, but the division head still forced her to go up and down the stairs and pick up scraps of paper in the yard. Later, they force-fed her and forbade her to use the restroom.
Ms. Liu Suyi conducted a hunger strike for over one month while being locked up in the Dalian Detention Center, and was then taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was very thin, and a fellow practitioner gave her something to eat. Guard Zhang Lili became aware of this, and forcibly took Ms. Liu from one room after another and asked her to point out the person who gave her food. This caused a horrifying atmosphere for all practitioners.
Things went from bad to worse on September 25, 2012: Coercive “transforming” began. Many practitioners were taken to the “Donggang” torture room, where the deputy head of the labor camp, whose last name is Wang, supervised the tortures in person. Several male guards participated. The torture continued for 24 hours. When practitioners declared that they would not give up their belief, they were tortured with various methods, such as sleep deprivation, having to squat, stand or kneel down for a long time, hung up on cuffs, as well as other torture methods.
Practitioners who were tortured included female practitioners Shen Xiangling, Song Ailian, Zheng Juxiang, Song Guangdi, Sun Guiping, Sun Yun, Hao Qiujing, Sun Zhongli, Wang Tan, Wang Xuemei, Gao Songyan, Wang Xuejie, and others. The imprint of the cuffs was visible on the wrist of Xiao Chunling for over two months. Sun Xiuhua was punished by having to kneel for a whole day, after which she was subjected to other tortures. Guards Zhang Lili and Zhang Lei often shouted crazily, thus causing practitioners to live in a horrific environment.
Practitioner Ms. Chen Haibin from Dalian showed symptoms of a stroke and heart attack as a result of being tortured. Head Zhai of the Masanjia Hospital falsified her medical records and asserted that she was not sick. On the other hand, she was forced to be examined at the hospital and had to take medicine frequently. Within less than a year, her medical expenses amounted to 8000 Yuan. She was so weak that she even had difficulty walking. Guard Zhang Lili threatened her, “You only have two choices: to die or to behave, be obedient until the day you can go home.” She also told Ms. Chen, “Don't even think that you are being released on medical parole, that is a pipe dream as long as I am here.”
In July 2012, practitioner Ms. Zheng Juxiang from Dalian City was taken to Masanjia. At noon on the second day, on her way to the canteen, she shouted twice, “Falun Dafa is good”. Immediately, the criminal detainees, who were assigned as the guards at the gate of the canteen, rushed up and covered her mouth. Several guards quickly dragged and carried her to the fourth floor of the building to her cell, and beat her.
Zhang Lei, one of those guards, took her to the “Donggang” torture room and applied the “stretching method” on her. The torture lasted from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., during which she was not allowed to eat anything. She often had pain in her back and left arm, and she could not lie down flat or sleep on the left side for a long time. She needed support when walking, and could not take care of herself. She often had a tight feeling in her chest, and had convulsions and weakness in her right leg. Guard Zhang Lili often threatened her, “If you are not obedient, we will shock you with 10 electric batons and let you beg us to kill you! Anyhow, the labor camp has a quota for killings, I can count you as one of those!”
During strict control period, the guards forced her to sit on a small stool all day long. At the end of September, it suddenly turned cold in Shenyang. Zheng Juxiang got a cold and had a fever; nevertheless, the monitoring inmates intentionally opened the window in order to make her and other practitioners freeze. On November 29, 2012, Ms. Zheng Juxiang was taken to the “Donggang” room, where they tried to “transform” her. Guard Zhang Huan cuffed her in a torturing way. She broke into a sweat all over and had severe pain in her shoulders and arms, and was unable to move.
All practitioners who refused to be “transformed” were subjected to rigorous control in the “Donggang” torture room, where they suffered from having to squat, beatings, electric shocks, and the “big hanging” method, etc. The food that was given to them was steamed corn bread. It was very dirty, and sand and mouse droppings could be seen inside. Furthermore, it was suspicious that anyone who ate that food became foggy headed and could not think clearly.
In the spring of 2013, a practitioner was about to be released and during the usual practice, the “discipline inspectors” of the labor camp asked her if she had been tortured. She asked, “Is being cuffed and in excruciating pain a kind of torture?” The inspectors asked, “When?” She said, “At the end of last year, when they did coercive transformation to us.” The inspectors continued to ask, “Were you transformed or not?” She said, “Yes, I was.” Then, the inspectors said, “In that case, what you said cannot be counted as torture.”
The detention term of practitioner Ms. Sun Xiuhua was extended because she said she was tortured during the query of these “discipline inspectors”.
Today, the labor camp is forcing practitioners to sign a form for drug addicts in order to mislead public opinion and avoid being condemned for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
