(Minghui.org) During the past 14 years of mistreating Falun Gong practitioners, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its officials have played the main role in spearheading the persecution policies. In this article, the fates of different CCP committee directors who participated in the persecution are examined.
Wang Zhenya, former CCP director for the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Yingzhou District in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, had a bad reputation since he was young. After getting to know Wang Huaizhong, an important figure in Fuyang City at the time, he was quickly promoted on different occasions.
When the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, Wang was director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee's branch in the Yingzhou District. Following the direction of former CCP leader Jiang Zemin closely, Wang was very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Many practitioners attempted to tell him the facts about Falun Gong, hoping he would stop committing bad deeds. Wang paid no heed to their warnings and continued on his vicious path.
After being diagnosed with a fatal illness, Wang died during liver transplant surgery on July 20, 2013.
Long Shaobai was director of the Private Business Social Security Center of the Huaihua Labor Bureau. To protect his personal interests, he closely monitored his practitioner employees. When the 610 Office ceased giving bonuses to his employees, he forced the workplace officials to choose one practitioner to send to a brainwashing center and to pay 5,000 yuan.
Long eventually began experiencing physical discomfort and was hospitalized in 2011. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and after a major surgery failed, he died in 2012 at the age of 56.
Shen Guoyun was a former director at the Meining Cannery in Suining, Sichuan Province. He often publicly berated practitioners and often reported them to the police.
Shen was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2001, and he visited several major hospitals while spending hundreds of thousands of yuan in search of a cure that he never found. He died four months later.
Huang Youcheng was a former chief officer and Party head at the Huaihua Labor Bureau. He adhered to the CCP policy of severely persecuting practitioners. In 2001 he had a cerebral hemorrhage and barely recovered. He was soon appointed director of the Labor Bureau, where he continued to mistreat Falun Gong practitioners. He had another cerebral hemorrhage and died shortly after.
Zhang Shitao was CCP director for the Xinmen Street Administrative Office in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. He persecuted practitioners around 2000, and six practitioners were directly persecuted under his direction. Some were even detained 12 different times at various detention centers and labor camps. In June, Zhang was investigated for personal and professional misconduct.
Chen Wanyun was CCP director at Duanjiadian Village in the Chuanshan District of Suining City, Sichuan Province, starting in 1999. He fell for the CCP's hate propaganda against Falun Gong, and as a result, neither he nor his wife hesitated to mistreat practitioners.
After finding truth-clarification messages painted on electrical poles on December 25, 2002, he had village residents arrest practitioner Ms. Liu Mingfang. They beat her and left her shackled for one day. Ms. Liu's head bled profusely. The next day, they stripped her naked and forced her to stand in cold water during the freezing winter for another whole day. They took her to a detention center the next day.
Chen was said to have taken bribes totaling more than 40 million yuan, all while owning at least 14 luxury mansions. Someone reported him to police in 2012, and he was arrested and sentenced to 17 years for personal and professional misconduct. Chen is currently detained in Wangcan Prison in Sichuan.
There is an old Chinese saying that “good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil.” Could these people's bad deeds in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and forcing good people to give up Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance possibly have contributed to their misfortunes?
