1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Chuanduo Abused in Mudanjiang Prison

Mr. Zhang Zhuanduo, 44, is a former junior-ranking officer of the Fire Control Detachment. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2003 for practicing Falun Gong. He is being held in Ward No. 12 of the Mudanjiang Prison.

Mr. Zhang endured severe abuse in the prison after the guards found that he had helped people quit the Chinese Communist Party. Mr. Zhang had cold water poured on him in the freezing winter, was beaten by other prisoners per the orders of the guards, and was forced to perform slave labor.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Duan and Mr. Yang Arrested

Ms. Duan and her family member Mr. Yang were arrested on July 18, 2013.

3. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Qiguo Arrested

Mr. Li Qiguo was recently arrested and his home was ransacked.

4. [Fei County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xiaolan Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Gao Xiaolan, 67, was arrested by deputy director Zheng Xinhua and two other officers from the Hedong Police Station on February 10, 2013, while speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

After being held in the Fei County Detention Center for five days, she was sent to the Linyi City Detention Center. The Fei County Procuratorate and Court sentenced Ms. Gao to one year in prison and two years of probation on June 7, 2013.

5. [Huanan City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Guo Renai, in her 60s, and Ms. Zhuang, in her 70s, were arrested on the morning of July 25, 2013. Director Yang Zhaobin and other officers from the Xinlin Police Station made the arrest. The two practitioners are being held in the Forest Bureau Detention Center.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Jinzhi Arrested

Ms. Gao Jinzhi was arrested at Ms. Zhu Fengqi's home on the afternoon of July 25, 2013. Officers from the Kuiju Police Station and Cao Shuwen from the Changyi City 610 Office made the arrest.

The police ransacked Ms. Zhu's home and confiscated approximately 100 Falun Gong books, 150 DVDs, 100 copies of informational materials, a cell phone, and two small speakers.

7. [Luotian City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Chun and Mr. Zhou Jianfei Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Chun, an employee of Luotian Hospital, was arrested and sent to a provincial brainwashing center on the morning of July 24, 2013.

Mr. Zhou Jianfei was also sent to a brainwashing center.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Hongping and Ms. Qin Shaohua Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhu Hongping, 46, and Ms. Qin Shaohua were arrested by police on the morning of July 25, 2013, while speaking to people in Beijiang Park about the persecution of Falun Gong. The two practitioners are being held in the Geleshan Town Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center.

9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Lizheng Arrested

Mr. Sun Lizheng was arrested on the morning of July 26, 2013.

10. [Changle City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Aiying Detained

Ms. Liu Aiying was arrested by officers from the Nanhao Police Station on July 16, 2013. Agents from the Changle City 610 Office recently sent her to the Weifang City Detention Center.

11. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Geng Jianxin was sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Pingding County Court in mid-July 2013. Mr. Rong Yihua and Ms. Zhao Haizhen were sentenced to 3 years in prison. Ms. Shang Baomei was also sentenced to prison, but allowed to serve it as 3 years of probation.

12. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Dongyuan Arrested

Mr. Hu Dongyuan was arrested in front of his home by plainclothes police on July 25, 2013. His Falun Gong books and informational materials were confiscated.

13. [Beijing] Ms. Sun Peilan Arrested

Ms. Sun Peilan was arrested on July 18, 2013.

14. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Miao Shubao Arrested

Ms. Miao Shubao was arrested at home by 7 officers from the Changyi City Domestic Security Division and Baimeng Town Police Station on the morning of July 23, 2013. The police confiscated approximately 30 Falun Gong books, picture of the Falun Gong founder, computer, printer, PC tablet, and MP5 and MP3 players. The value of all items confiscated is approximately 8,000 yuan.

The police attempted to sent Ms. Miao to a forced labor camp. However, the labor camp refused to admit her, as she did not pass the physical examination. The police then extorted 10,000 yuan in cash from her family before releasing her.

15. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Yurui Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Yurui and her 8-year-old son were arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the evening of July 22, 2013. Ms. Li was sent to the Xinmi Brainwashing Center on July 23, 2013.
