Additional Persecution News from China – July 6, 2013 (14 Reports)
(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zeng Jinhuan, Ms. Peng Baoying, Ms. Liu Yongmei, and Ms. Deng He were arrested by officers from the Macheng City 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and local police station on June 27, 2013. The agents extorted 1,000 yuan in cash from Ms. Peng before releasing her.
Ms. Zeng, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Deng were sent to the Macheng City Detention Center. Ms. Zeng went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was transferred to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Wuchang City on July 2, 2013.
Officers ransacked Ms. Zeng's home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and a copier. Ms. Liu’s home was ransacked twice.

2. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cao Yang Imprisoned
Mr. Cao Yang was transferred to the Xinshou Prison of the Shenyang City Prison Block on July 3, 2013.
3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Huang Bo and Mr. Sun
Mr. Huang Bo, 62, and Mr. Sun, in his 60s, were arrested by officers from the local police station on June 25, 2013, while distributing information about the persecution of Falun Gong.
4. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Haocui and Ms. Liu Hong Detained
Ms. Huang Haocui was arrested by officers from the Xiqing Police Department on June 7, 2013, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. Police ransacked her home the next day. Ms. Huang is being held in the Xiqing Detention Center.
Her daughter, Ms. Liu Hong, is being held in the No. 1 Detention Center.
5. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Zhanguang Sent to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Zhang Zhanguang was arrested by Hu Fengli and other agents from the Liangjiashan Town Government on the morning of July 2, 2013. He is being held in the Shangyingzi Brainwashing Center.
6. [Huanghua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Dongling
Mr. Liu Dongling was arrested at his office by Cao Fengsen and other officers from the Huanghua City Police Department's Domestic Security Division on June 25, 2013. The police ransacked his office and confiscated his computer, laptop, cell phone, USB drive, MP4 player, materials containing information about Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, 3,500 yuan in cash, and a watch. Mr. Liu was taken to the Huanghua Police Department, but released later that day.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Bolian
Ms. Yang Bolian was arrested by officers from the local police station on the afternoon of July 4, 2013.
8. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Mao Cuilian Arrested
Ms. Mao Cuilian, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Erdaohezikuang Police Station on July 5, 2013.
9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Liping and Ms. Wang Weijuan Arrested
Ms. Wang Liping, a substitute teacher from the Qing'an Elementary School, was recently arrested by officers from the local police station, after the school reported her for speaking to students about Falun Gong. Her sister, Ms. Wang Weijuan, was also arrested when she went to the police station to request her sister's release. The family's home was ransacked.
10. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Five Practitioners Detained
Mr. Xie Jiaqi and four other practitioners were arrested by police on June 27, 2013, while speaking to people about Falun Gong. The person who was their driver that day was also arrested, even though he doesn't practice Falun Gong. They are all being held in the Lixin County Detention Center.
11. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Guixiang Arrested
Ms. Zhou Guixiang was recently arrested by officers from the local police station.
12. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Juanjuan Arrested
Ms. Li Juanjuan was arrested at home by six officers from the Yiyang City Police Department on July 3, 2013. Police confiscated her computer, cell phone, and MP5 player.
13. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Guiling Detained
Ms. Sun Guiling was arrested at home by officers from the Xiaodianzi Town Police Station on the morning of July 1, 2013. She is being held in the Dandong Detention Center.
14. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Shi Ruilian Arrested
Ms. Shi Ruilian was arrested by police officers near the County Hospital on the morning of July 2, 2013, while speaking to people about Falun Gong.
