(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shangshui County, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Qingchen and His Son Arrested

Mr. Liu Qingchen and his son, Liu Chenglin, from Liuying Village, Huangzhai Township, were arrested by police and taken to the Huaiyang Detention Center on June 13, 2013. The police extorted a confession from them by torture. They were contained near a very hot stove, during high temperature days, for an extended length of time.

The police searched Mr. Liu Qingchen's home and confiscated his computer, printer, DVD burner and Falun Gong books.

2. [Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhu Yanian and Mr. Zhang Wei Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhu Yanian, 70, was sentenced to 4 years in prison on July 22, 2013. Mr. Zhang Wei was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison by the Jingjiang Court. The two practitioners are being held in the Jingjiang Detention Center.

3. [Kaifeng, Henan Province] Ms. Jiang Shuli Imprisoned

Ms. Jiang Shuli was sentenced to prison by the Kaifeng Court. She was sent to the Henan Women's Prison.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Wu Deqiang Detained

Mr. Wu Deqiang from Bishan County was arrested by officers from the Chengjiao Police Station while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on Aokangnongmin Street in Bishan County at noon on July 20, 2013. He was sent to the Sanjiatan Detention Center in Bishan the same night for a 10-day term.

5. [Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Chunli Arrested

Ms. Yuan Chunli's family of four went to Beijing on the afternoon of July 21, 2013. Personnel at the security check point of the Xinpu Train Station found that Ms. Yuan carried DVDs about Falun Gong and reported her.

Ms. Yuan was arrested by officers from the Xinpu Police Department. Her home was also ransakced. The police confiscated her computer, printer, and other items. Ms. Yuan's current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao and Ms. Chang Detained

Ms. Zhao and Ms. Chang were arrested by officers from the Nanling Police Station on the night of July 21, 2013. They were sent to the Changchun No. 3 Detention Center.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Cuiling Arrested

Ms. Han Cuiling was arrested by officers from the local Domestic Security Division on July 17, 2013.

8. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yajun Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Yajun was arrested by officers from the Baijulu Police Station on July 17, 2013. She was sent to the Fenjin Brainwashing Center.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Manqin and Ms. Nie Chunxiang Arrested

Ms. Yang Manqin from Sanlihe, Yanqing County, was arrested by officers from the Beijing Police Department and the Yanqing Domestic Security Division on July 18, 2013. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Nie Chunxiang from Liubinbao Village, Yanqing County, was also arrested on the same afternoon. She is being held in the Changping Detention Center.

10. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Ms. Miao Shuqing Imprisoned

Ms. Miao Shuqing was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison. She was transferred to the Dabei Women's Prison in Dabei on the morning of July 23, 2013.

Prior to that, she was being held in the Nangou Detention Center, where she went on a hunger strike for 3 days to protest the persecution. She was very weak.

11. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Huimin Detained

More than 10 officers from the Jinzhou District Police Department broke into Ms. Zhou Huimin's home on the afternoon of July 19, 2013. They confiscated money with written messages about Falun Gong on it. Ms. Zhou was arrested and sent to the Dalian Detention Center.
