(Minghui.org) According to Penglai City police, “A gathering of two people is illegal assembly.” The police are targeting a specific group with this comment – Falun Gong practitioners who believe in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Three plainclothes officers from the Daxindian Police Department in Penglai City, Shandong Province, went to Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cong Shuhua's home on March 13, 2013. Ms. Cong used her wisdom to escape their attempts to detain her. The officers became angry and yelled at Ms. Cong's family: “The National Congress and the Political Consultative Conference are now in progress. People who practice Falun Gong are not allowed to go out. A gathering of two people is an illegal assembly. They will be arrested!”
Police attempted to arrest Ms. Cong at work around noon on March 16, 2013, but she escaped with the help of kind people.
Plainclothes officers saw Ms. Cong on the street and attempted to take her into custody again at 2:00 pm on April 9, 2013. She rode her electric bike down a narrow street to avoid them.
The officers were unwilling to give up and went to Ms. Cong's home the next day, scaring Ms. Cong's 80-year-old mother.
