Persecution of Practitioners at Guo Town Labor Camp in Shaanxi Province

(Minghui.org) Also known as Qinling Copper Mine, Guo Town Forced Labor Camp in Baoji City is one of the places where practitioners were persecuted after the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp was closed. Most of the abuse occurred in the camp's Third Division.

Guards and inmates often beat and swore at practitioners at will, physically abusing them and forcing them to do slave labor. The guards were flagrantly corrupt and people openly used drugs. Inmates and guards worked together to take practitioners’ money and personal belongings. They also forced practitioners to work in the mine and produce bricks to make profits.

After Chengdu City practitioner Mr. Su Gang was arrested in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, in May 2011, he was sent to the Third Division on May 30, 2011, for a term of 18 months.

Xi’an practitioner Mr. Feng Xincheng was sent to the Third Division on December 31, 2010, and Baoji City practitioner Mr. Wang Risheng was sent to there on January 18, 2011. Agents involved were from the Xi'an 610 Office, Baoji 610 Office, and Domestic Security Division. Guards beat them many times. One torture method they were subjected to was having their legs stretched apart into a straight line.

Guards often forced them to stand or squat for a long time without sleeping. Mr. Feng Xincheng’s ribs were broken and his fingers were deformed. Mr. Wang Risheng's arms were severely injured and he was often in a confused mental state. Mr. Su Gang was injured all over his body. He suffered unendurable pain, could not move his body or take care of himself, and developed tuberculosis. The labor camp did not give him any medical care. Mr. Su went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He is now in critical condition.

Mr. Su, around 50, was a doctor in a factory workers' hospital of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry in Jiajiang County, Sichuan Province. He was imprisoned for two years for practicing Falun Dafa at the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang, Sichuan, and for four years at the Wumaping Prison in Sichuan. He was also held at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Chengdu, Sichuan.

Third Division head Zheng Haipeng ordered inmates to brutally beat Mr. Su. As a result he was in extreme pain and could barely walk. Zheng once beat practitioner Mr. Wang Yongli on April 22, 2012, which caused severe bleeding in Mr. Wang’s head. One Zhoukou City practitioner from Henan Province was arrested in Xi'an City and sent to the labor camp. When he did the sitting meditation, someone reported this to Zheng, who then ordered inmates to brutally beat him almost every day.

The Third Division of the Guo Town Forced Labor Camp is specialized in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Warden Zheng Haipeng and guard Zhi Jun gathered sturdy and wicked criminal inmates, and formed a “beater team”. They claimed they beat others “legally” because they were following the guards' orders. The more people they beat, the more they had their prison terms reduced.

Jiang and the communist regime gave orders to “physically eradicate practitioners,” that “practitioners killed are considered suicides,” and “practitioners that are killed will be directly sent to cremation without investigation”. This regime led the persecution and set the guidelines for brutal and systematic mistreatment of practitioners. Some of the torture methods include beating, shocking with electric batons, handcuffing, deprivation of sleep, force-feeding, force-injection of drugs, nailing the fingernails, being forced to stand or squat for long periods of time, exposure under the burning sun, exposure to freezing winter and having cold water poured over the practitioners, Death Bed with entire body constrained, iron chair, solitary confinement with no light, iron cage, brainwashing, slave labor, live organ harvesting, and so on. Many practitioners died, became disabled, or suffered mental collapse as a result of the torture.
