(Minghui.org) Mr. Han Chunlong, a resident of Shenyang City, was arrested while on a business trip to Dandong City, and then tortured and beaten. He went on a hunger strike protesting his illegal detention and torture. Guards at the Dandong Detention Center shackled his hands and legs and force-fed him through a nasal feeding tube. After being tortured, the Dandong Central Hospital diagnosed him with renal and urethral lithiasis, hydronephrosis, kidney stones, bladder stones, and ulcer. Upon being released from the hospital he was taken back to the detention center.

Mr. Han, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was a technician at a major Spectrometer Technology Service Center in Shenyang City. He went on a business trip to Dandong City on December 11, 2012, with his colleague Mr. Chen Xinye, also a practitioner. At around 10:00 a.m., while discussing business at the Dante Hotel, Yu Temings, director, and Wang Zhi, deputy director from the Sidaoqiao Police Station, police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Zhenxing District Police Bureau, Du Guojun, Dandong Zhenxing from the District Police Bureau, Wang Yunlong and Zhen Xing from the district Zhanqian Police Station (formerly known as Zhenxing District Sidaoqiao Police Station) accosted the two. They confiscated all of Mr. Han's and Mr. Chen's personal belongings without providing a receipt. The officers claimed that Mr. Han was sending e-mails with Falun Dafa materials attached over the Internet.

Mr. Han and Mr. Chen were tortured at the Sidaoqiao Police Station. A young police officer, Li Xihua, slapped Mr. Han's face, kicked him to the ground, and then several officers beat him. Officer Xiao Qiang sprayed pepper spray in his face. He lost his hearing due to the beatings.

On December 13, 2012, the police officers forced them to sign a document of detention, which was to be served at the Dandong First Detention Center.

At the detention center Mr. Han went on a hunger strike to protest the detention and torture. The officers shackled his hands and legs and inserted a nasal feeding tube and a urination tube. Mr. Han's health deteriorated and he suffered chest pain and high blood pressure.

Mr. Han had severe pain around his waist and stomach on January 24, 2013. He could no longer urinate, and his body temperature was very high. He was taken to the Dandong Central Hospital, which diagnosed him with kidney and bladder stones. There was water in the right and left kidney and a urethral dilatation. The diagnosis was renal insufficiency, stones in ureteral (both sides), hydronephrosis (infection), and four kidney and five bladder stones. He was also diagnosed with ulcer and cracks on the right side of his urethra.

Although the hospital record does not indicate the cause of Mr. Han's illness, his illnesses resulted from the force-feeding and the tube for urination over a protracted time.

After a few days at the hospital, Mr. Han was taken back to the detention center.

Mr. Han's attorney went to the Zhenxing District Procuratorate to apply for bail on February 4, 2013. On the afternoon of February 5, 2013, Mr. Han's family submitted the hospital diagnosis record to the Procuratorate. Wang Xueping, president of the Procuratorate, shouted, “Falun Dafa practitioners are calling me daily and sending text messages. You should go to the police station.” As Wang walked into an elevator, he said the best thing would be to have Mr. Han sentenced to death.

Later, Mr. Fan Shitao from the Application Section of the Procuratorate accepted Han's hospital record.
