Practitioner Lan Bo Tortured at Qianjin Forced Labor Camp

May 29, 2013 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Heilongjiang Province, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Lan Bo from Yanshou County, Harbin, Heilongjiang was arrested by Zhao Xiaodong, head of the Domestic Security Group of Yanshou County Police Station, and Zheng Songlin on July 22, 2012. Ms. Lan was then sentenced to two years of forced labor. Recently, camp wardens tortured her with electronic batons and by keeping her in solitary confinement.

Ms. Lan, 49, suffered from heart disease, cholecystitis, and a stomach disease before practicing Falun Dafa. She experienced frequent shocks to her system and convulsions. Her stomach needed food immediately if she felt hungry. Once, when in a hunger attack while working in the field, she was forced to eat grass. She became healthy after practicing Falun Dafa and was able to do a lot of work.

As was the usual practice, practitioners at the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp began work at 7 a.m. on January 19, 2013. The heaters stopped working at around 11 a.m. and the room got very cold since it was winter. The inmates tried to stay warm by moving around the room, but Ms. Lan suggested they do Falun Dafa exercises to get warm. Warden Fu Min overheard this and she was reported to the office. Ms. Lan was brought to the office at 1 p.m. Zhang Yanli, the head of the section, shocked Ms. Lan with an electric baton until its power ran out. He and Fu Ming then beat Ms. Lan with the batons.

Ms. Lan was beaten and shocked again by wardens Wang Min, Cong Zhixiu, and Wang Xiaoyu. She was also placed in solitary confinement for two hours.
