Three Young Police Officers, Three Different Outcomes

May 18, 2013 |

(Minghui.org) Despite his young age, Yu is currently deputy head of a police department of a western county in Liaoning Province. Whenever he thinks of his friend Xiang’s violent death in a traffic accident and his co-worker Wang who had an operation for his cerebral hemorrhage, it takes a long time for this young man to calm down. The three young police officers’ destinies were changed by an arrest made by a town police station.

Betrayal

Yu was a young police officer in his hometown. His mother was a Falun Gong practitioner. Raised by her, he had a very kind heart. After the communist regime began persecuting Falun Gong, many practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong.

One day in 2000, Yu’s mother planned to appeal in Beijing with her fellow practitioners. Concerned about her safety, he tried to stop her, but she was determined. Yu understood that she and the other practitioners were all good people, and that it was absolutely reasonable and correct for them to appeal. He knew very well that they had every right to appeal and clarify the facts about Falun Gong, a cultivation practice that had benefited them a lot, and, in doing so, they were not violating any laws. However, he was very afraid that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) would persecute her and other practitioners. From his work in the police system for several years, he knew the CCP was evil and completely immoral.

Yu had two co-workers named Xiang and Wang. They were all regular police officers and worked together in the same police station. Yu was friends with Xiang, and he often told his troubles to him. So that day he shared his worries with Xiang. He told Xiang that his mom wanted to appeal in Beijing and was planning for it with other practitioners at another practitioner’s home. He had tried to stop her but failed, thus he worried about her safety and was very anxious.

Xiang was a crafty person who was always looking for ways to advance himself and stand out among his fellows. After hearing what Yu said, he considered it a good opportunity to advance his career. He repeated what Yu told him to the head of the police station. As a result, more than 10 officers were dispatched and broke into the practitioner’s home.

The practitioner’s home was just located below Wang’s. He rushed in front and led the police to the building. There were 11 practitioners in the room. The police broke in and ransacked the place. Wang searched the hardest. He searched everywhere and took away all the Falun Gong books. The 11 practitioners, including Yu’s mom, were arrested and subsequently sent to a detention center. They were unable to appeal in Beijing and subjected to persecution afterward.

Xiang's Violent Death

As compensation for being the informant, Xiang was promoted to head of the police station. He was later transferred to a police station in another city where he took an active role in persecuting practitioners. The local practitioners tried to stop him from committing crimes against humanity by compassionately telling him the facts about Falun Gong. However, he refused to listen and was only concerned about advancing his career.

This soon led to Xiang receiving karmic retribution. One day he drove into a big truck and died violently. His death at such a young age was a huge blow to his grieving parents, wife, and son.

Wang’s Recovery from Cerebral Hemorrhage

Wang persecuted practitioners even more actively after seeing Xiang getting promoted for doing so. In 2002 he arrested practitioners in his hometown, including the practitioner living below him, and sent them to a brainwashing center. During the process, he kept slandering Falun Gong and abusing practitioners.

Several years later, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, and the local hospital couldn't help him. He was transferred to a famous hospital in Beijing and operated on. Afterward he was sent home and had to lie in bed in pain every day. His family also had to stay home to take care of him. The practitioner living below him learned the details of what Wang was going through. Despite Wang's repeated participation in the persecution, the practitioner went to visit Wang with her husband who didn’t practice Falun Gong. She told Wang that he had received retribution for his evil deeds of persecuting Falun Gong. She suggested that he immediately stop persecuting practitioners and read Falun Gong books, especially Zhuan Falun. Wang listened carefully. He said he didn’t give the Falun Gong books that he found while ransacking practitioner's homes to his superiors. He had hidden a copy of Zhuan Falun in his office and would bring it home to read.

Wang came to understand Falun Gong after reading Zhuan Falun . He realized that he had been deceived and brainwashed by the CCP propaganda. Falun Gong was nothing like the lies the CCP slander made it out to be. He regretted very much having participated in the unlawful persecution of practitioners. He remembered the "three withdrawals" mentioned by his co-worker Yu’s mother, and he went online and withdrew from the Party. In addition, he began reading materials that clarify the truth about Falun Gong. He gradually felt better and was able to return to work. The local practitioners didn’t bear a grudge against him and continued telling him the facts.

Wang deeply realized he had made mistakes and began taking action to correct and make up for it. At one point his police station began planning to arrest and send practitioners to brainwashing centers. As soon as Wang heard this, he notified the practitioner living below him and asked her to inform other practitioners so they could avoid being arrested. The local practitioners were soon informed and everyone was prepared. The police station’s plan failed.

Afterwards Wang was transferred to a detention center. He tried his best to help the practitioners detained there and secretly protected them.

Wang corrected his wrongdoing and made up for it. Now he has completely recovered from his cerebral hemorrhage.

Yu’s Good Fortune

Yu felt very guilty and reproached himself bitterly after his mother and other practitioners were arrested. By personally seeing how they all followed Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good people and their kindness and compassion, he was deeply moved and affected. He then began helping her clarify the truth. He quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He also decided with his mother that he would try to bring his co-workers home one at a time so she could clarify the truth to them. Most of the officers who went to his home understood the truth and did the "three withdrawals." Yu also helped clarify the truth from his understanding. Sometimes when Wang was Yu's home while Yu's mother was clarifying the truth, he helped. Yu was fully supportive of his mother’s clarifying the truth and tried his best to help save sentient beings. Yu’s support of Falun Gong brought him good fortune and he was rewarded for his good deed. He was transferred to the county police department and promoted to deputy head.

His parents later moved to the county downtown as well. Yu has a big family and all of his family members are supportive of Falun Gong. Whenever the whole family reunites and toasts each other, their first words are “Falun Dafa is good!”
