(Minghui.org) In the fall of 2006, my child and I visited my mother in my hometown. My mom and I went to another village to collect money owed to us. There was a wedding in the village and it was very crowded. Seeing so many simple and kind faces there, I came up with the idea of introducing Falun Dafa and the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to all the villagers.
I saw three older ladies sitting by the wall. They were quiet and different from the other noisy people. They only whispered once in a while. They looked listless and their faces were pale. So I went up and asked how they were. They told me that they all had several illnesses and had to take medicines every day. They had difficulty walking, but still had to take care of their children. They had been this way for a number of years. They felt they were a burden to their families. I told them, “There’s one simple way that can help all of you, but you must follow all of the principles sincerely.”
Their eyes suddenly turned to me as if they had found what would save them and asked me to tell them all about this “miraculous” way. So I told them to please memorize the words, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and recite them sincerely every day whenever they had time. I let them know that these words were the Buddha Fa and the truth and quite powerful. After hearing this, they asked me to teach them the words. They were in their 60s and illiterate, so I taught them word by word. I also gave them each an amulet with the words written on it. I told them, “Here are the words just in case you forget. You can ask anyone in your family to help you learn them.” They accepted the items and held them carefully.
A week passed before I returned home again. I saw a very animated lady sitting in my house. She acted like I was a relative whom she hadn’t seen for a long time and said, “Hello, my dear girl. Finally you are back. I have been waiting for you for days. This is the second time I came to your house. Your mom told me that you would not be home again until the weekend, because your child has to go to school during the week.” I was lost about what she was saying and asked, “I’m sorry, but who are you?” “You forgot? You gave me an amulet last week. I recited the words time after time every day. It’s simple. Now I don’t have to go to the hospital or take any medicine. And it doesn’t cost anything. It’s not easy for us to earn money in the countryside. In the past few years, my son spent a lot getting my illness treated. I was a burden on the whole family. In order to reduce their burden and for a better life for myself, I decided to believe in what you told me. My health changed a lot. After three days, I could go to the fields and help with the chores. I felt it was as easy as when I was young and healthy. I didn’t feel tired. I haven’t felt well enough to go to the market for more than ten years, but now I can do that, too!”
She continued, “Some friends saw me and were curious about the improvement in my health. They asked me how I became healthy again, so I showed them the amulet and told them to recite the words. They all asked me for the amulets. I had to look for you. How many do you have on hand?” I said, “About 65.” She said, “Can you please give me all of them? I’m afraid it’s not enough. Could you bring more next time when you come?” I replied, “OK, but please don’t tell people that it’s me who gave them to you.” She was surprised, “Why? You did such a good thing and yet you don’t want anyone to know?” I said, “It’s not me. I only tell you about Falun Dafa. It’s Master who saved you, it’s the power of Dafa.” Then I told her about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made up rumors and slandered Falun Dafa. I told her that Dafa practitioners who would not forsake their belief were illegally arrested and sent to forced labor camps. I informed her about the practice of organ harvesting from practitioners and about how family members were persecuted as well. I told her that in 2002, I was working in another province. The local police couldn’t find me so they arrested my father and kept him for a month. They let my father go only after I returned, and they even fined him 2,000 yuan (about $307). After that experience, my father was ill for more than 6 months.
The lady then understood, “No wonder some people asked how I dared to recite those words, because it’s forbidden. However, after seeing how I changed they said nothing more. They want more amulets. I am so fortunate that I was not affected by the CCP's lies. If I had known that earlier, I might not have dared to recite the words. Thanks to Master and thanks to Dafa that gave me a second life. I will try my best to tell people the facts about Dafa. The CCP is so bad that they lie and confuse right and wrong. They also promote atheism, but gods really exist. Look at me, I became healthy without any treatment, after just reciting the words.”
I said, “Auntie, you are right. Falun Dafa is a very high level Buddha Fa. It has not occurred in thousands of years. This is the highest science. Those who respect and believe in Dafa will be blessed. The ones who participate in the persecution are committing a crime, and they will have to pay for it someday. Some have already paid for their crimes.” The lady said, “That good is rewarded and evil is punished is just.”
Later, the lady gave out hundreds of amulets. She also gave me names of people who wished to quit the CCP. If there was no CCP propaganda, how many more people and families could benefit! The persecution over the past ten years has harmed the whole Chinese populace.
