(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Yingzuo was arrested for the second time at home by the local police on February 23, 2012. He was later sentenced to two years of forced labor. In the forced labor camp, he was handcuffed, hung up, beaten, and deprived of sleep by guard Zhang Yuhua when he tried to clarify the truth to Zhang. As a result, Mr. Yu has not been able to walk to this day.

After Mr. Yu began practicing Falun Gong, he regained his health and had a good relationship with his neighbors. He often tells them, “I sincerely hope you have a good future. Given all the natural and man-made disasters, I hope you will all be safe and sound.” This thoughtful person has been repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese regime. The first time he was arrested, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor. During his detention, he was deprived of sleep, forced to sit on a bench for long periods of time, beaten, cursed at, and forced to do slave labor. His sick wife passed away from lack of care in 2005. At that time, his daughter was away at school.

On the afternoon of February 13, 2012, several officers from the Rushan City's Domestic Security Team jumped over the wall of Mr. Yu's courtyard and forced their way inside his home. Without a warrant or any other paperwork, they arrested Mr. Yu and ransacked his home. They also confiscated his personal computer, a printer, and other belongings. The next day, the police towed Mr. Yu's caravan away. Towards the end of February, the authorities sentenced him to two years of forced labor. Without notifying his family, they sent him to Shandong Provincial No. 2 Forced Labor Camp.

Mr. Yu is detained in Section Eight of the forced labor camp. He told guard Zhang Yuhua that participating in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners would incur retribution for him and his family. Zhang became infuriated and accused Mr. Yu of cursing his whole family. He then ordered an inmate to hold Mr. Yu from behind while he punched Mr. Yu in the front. Mr. Yu eventually fell down and accidentally grabbed Zhang's foot, causing him to fall too. Zhang got even more angry and continued to beat Mr. Yu for more than 30 minutes straight. Then he hung up Mr. Yu onto a bed frame with handcuffs.

At around midnight, Mr. Yu complained of severe dizziness and asked that the handcuffs be taken off, but to no avail. The next day, he couldn't move one of his legs. At his repeated requests, the guards finally carried him to the hospital. However, at the hospital, the authorities didn't allow Mr. Yu to speak to the medical staff and lied that Mr. Yu was suffering from hypertension and a mental illness.

To this day, Mr. Yu has not been able to walk on his own. He has to be carried everywhere. Fearing that news of his condition will be made public, the labor camp authorities don't allow his family to visit.

Sections seven and eight of Shandong Provincial No. 2 Forced Labor Camp are where practitioners are most often tortured. There are over 50 practitioners now in section eight and more than 40 in seven. The authorities in section eight often beat practitioners where there are no surveillance cameras, such as the captain's office, the guards' restrooms, the counseling room, the bedding room, the storage room, or the library.
