(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 1 practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during detention and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Xiaohong Detained

Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiaohong, who was living in the Xizhai Community, was illegally arrested on the afternoon of January 22, 2013, for telling others about Falun Gong. She is being held at the Daqing No.1 Detention Center.

2. [Woyang County, Anhui Province] Mr. Ge Zhenqin Arrested

Mr. Ge Zhenqin was arrested in mid-January; his whereabouts are currently unknown.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Imprisoned

Ms. Li Jie, Ms. Wei Caiyan, and other practitioners from Jiutai City were arrested in May 2011. They are now in Heizuizi Women's Prison.

Ms. Wang Lanxiang, employed at the Jiutai City Hospital, was arrested on October 11, 2011, and sent to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center in Changchun City for a term of 14 days. She was then sent to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp for a term of 18 months.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Agents from the Lingkong Police Station arrested Mr. Yang Guanghui, Ms. Chen Fenghua, and Ms. Lao Wu on January 25. The three are being held in the Texi District Detention Center.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Yeying Arrested and Home Ransacked

When Ms. Yu Yeying posted truth-clarification materials at Chongqing University on the evening of August 18, 2012, university security officers arrested her and took her to the Shapingba Police Station. They ransacked her home the next day.
